Breakfast was quiet. Ciel sat in his usual place at the head of the table with another place laid out for Elizabeth on his right. Your place was at the opposite end of the table. Away from the couple, always has been always will be. But sat there on your own sipping your Earl Grey tea, all you could think about was the nice- no, beautiful things Ciel had said to you last night. "Thank you."
"For what?"
"For keeping me down to earth."
What did he even mean? Your eyes flicked down to Ciel who quickly shifted his gaze from your own. He was looking. Why was he looking?"Darling you should have woken me earlier!" Elizabeth's high pitched voice bounced off the walls. "We have a lot to do today."
"I did not want to wake you." Ciel simply replied.
"But we have redecorating to do!" She squealed.
"Redecorating?" You nearly choked on your tea as you placed it down on the saucer.
"Have you never heard of it before? Awh, I would teach you but Ciel and I are going to be so busy." She cooed sarcastically.
"Everyone knows how to use a paintbrush Elizabeth." You rolled your eyes.
"Well since I will be here permanently, I want to spruce this place up. Add a little me to it!"
"Please do not." You muttered. The corner of Ciel's mouth turned up slightly before Elizabeth could see. "There is nothing wrong with the mansion."
"See this is where your lack of understanding comes from *Your name*. It is best you stay out of it." She sneered.
"Elizabeth, there is no need." Ciel interjected.
"We should start in an hour." Elizabeth completely ignored Ciel's protest.
"I will only be able to help this afternoon. I will be helping *Your name* with the investigation this morning." Ciel looked down the table to you. Your breath caught in your throat. He was actually helping with the investigation today?
"No, you need to help us! You never do anything for us, for me!" Elizabeth whined. You stood abruptly, your chair scraping against the wooden floor making a loud noise.
"I think you will find Ciel does a lot for you Elizabeth. You are just too blind and self centred to see it." You snapped before swiftly leaving the room. How stupider can she possibly get? Any girl rich or poor would give anything to be in her position. You would give anything to be in her position... and all she does is take it for granted. You stopped in the hallway and leant against the wall.
"He's making you soft girl." You sighed to yourself. "Toughen up." You pushed yourself off the wall and made your way to the investigation hall. Back to work.

"Is he coming back soon?" Horatio asked.
"No." You sighed. "He is with his fiancé." Elizabeth had already wandered into the investigation hall and demanded Ciel to now help her since it was the afternoon. He gave me an apologetic look before leaving, then everything had continued as normal for the next couple of hours.
"His ears must be bleeding by now with the amount of moaning that girl does," Horatio chuckled. A ghost of a smile danced across your face as you looked into the distance.
"She is rather awful isn't she?" You commented.
"Oh blast!" Someone cursed followed by a crash. You stood swiftly and moved to where the sound came from. "I'm sorry Ma'am, I'll clean it up!" One of the workers panicked over the spilt tea and broken crockery.
"Do not worry, I will deal with it." You mumbled. You exited the hall and wandered down the hallway to the library you trashed yesterday. You had been trying to clean the mess up before so you knew some equipment would be there. Your mind was really elsewhere today as you left the door open and walked further into the room. You had managed to sweep the glass into one pile but that was it.
"What are you doing?" A voice spoke. You turned around to see Ciel standing in the doorway.
"One of my workers spilt their tea." You started to explain. "I thought I would grab the supplies in here to clean it up."
Ciel didn't say anything but only watched you as you picked up a broom. Ciel had an unusual look on his face, was it anger? He started advancing forward towards you.
"They should have been more careful, I'll pay for a replaceme-" Ciel knocked the broom out of your hand."Be quiet." His gaze was of determination as he looked into your eyes.
"Who the hell do you think you're talki-" Ciel pushed you with slight force up against the bookshelf, making you gasp in surprise. He took a moment to glance down at your perplexed face, cheeks slightly flushed the fact his body was against yours. A second later his lips were on yours and it also took you less then a second a to respond to his urgency. You wrapped your arms around his neck as he pulled your small waist closer to him. For a second everything was perfect, a forbidden moment.
"Ciel, where are you?" Elizabeth shouted down the halls of the corridor. You both pulled away from each other only for Ciel to place his finger over your mouth, with a playful grin on his face. You'd never seen a playful side of him before. You tried to stifle a giggle when Elizabeth called out again. Her footsteps disappeared and silence feel back upon you. Only the sound of both your heavy breathing could be heard. Ciel removed his finger and placed one more kiss on your lips.
"I have been wanting to do that for a long time." He breathed.
