Chapter 6

Who was that guy?? I've never seen him around here. I quickly ran up the stairs and opened all of the doors. I opened the bathroom door and I saw the guy and river with her blu tail. What, he knew?!?! "Uhh it's just a costume" the guy said. "Brandon, this is Liam" "Oh hey" who the heck was this guy. Rivers le- I mean tail started to glow and changed back to her normal self.

"Uhh who are you??" I asked. "The names Brandon" he held out his hand to shake mine and I shaked it in disgust. "Liam" I replied . "Ya I know" he then stood up and helped river up too. "Cool uh nice meeting you." Then river and Brandon left for down stairs.

I tried to follow them by they were mysteriously gone. I shrugged my shoulders and went back to partying.

Rivers POV

Oh my gosh, that was a close one. I'm so glad Brandon was there. We then quickly left the party and ran to the beach. I dipped my feet in the water and I fell to the ground. I heard Brandon laugh so I splash water at him and he fell too. I laughed at him this time and he rolled his eyes.

"Thank you soo much" I said. " I heard some people talking about a party and know you probably went. You have to be careful next time. If that wasn't your friend Liam the you would of been in trouble." He reminded me. "Ya,ya,ya what ever" I playfully slapped him.

"So, uhh umm river I was uhh wondering if you umm we're busy hmmm tomorrow n-night" did he really just ask me out?? "Uhh actually yes because I'm going to the mall". "Cool, I'll come along" he said. Ok then he just invited himself to hang out with me but what evs. "K" I said and my tail turned back to legs. "Umm ill see you later" I said quickly and ran back home.

I finally opened the door and my mom was making some dinner. "Hey mom." I waved to her. "Hey sweet heart, how was the party, I hope you didn't go to the beach" she looked at be with a curious look. "It was at Alice's cousin house. She was turning 16. Even call up Alice." I told her. "Fine. Now set the table, supper should be ready soon" "Ok" I then grabbed 2 plates, 2 forks and 2 cups.

For supper we had spaghetti and meatballs along with some beans. We said grace and dug in. After supper was over I ran up stairs and watched finding nemo on my laptop. After the movie was over I walk out of my room and my mom was fast a sleep.

I had to go to the beach for the last time today so I would be able to sleep. I quietly walked out of the house and ran to the water.

I jumped in and floated on the surface of the water. I closed my eyes and tried to sleep. Again someone grabbed my tail and it was Brandon as I thought. "Stop I'm trying to sleep" I said and closed my eyes again. "Sorry" he apologized. "Nice shirt" he laughed. "Hey don't make fun of my Elmo shirt" I spat. "Whatever" he then swam underwater.

"Uhh Brandon I have a question".i said and he quickly popped his head up. "Yess?" He raised an eyebrow. "I don't get it. I used to have showers and go swimming in pools and I was perfectly fine but after going into the ocean, well now every Time I even touch water, I grow my tail." I told him. "Ya I know it's weird. But I have no idea why." He answered.

"Oh ok" I then jumped under and sank to the bottom. "What's wrong?" He asked. "I wish I was just my normal self again. I mean well I'm glad I met you but why was it me? I'll never be able to surf or go swimming in my pool and have a shower... I just wish I could go back to my normal life" I told him. "It's not so bad when you get used to it." "I dunno. "

I swam back up to the surface and he followed. "Where are you going?" He grabbed my wrist. "Home" I replied and I dragged my self out of the water. "Ok ill see you tomorrow I guess" he said. "Ya maybe". " your gonna have too, river" he reminded me. I didn't respond and I ran back to my house.

I quietly ran up to my house but it was locked. Oh ya I locked it. I went through my pocket but my key was missing. Ugh now what? I sat on my ground and tried to sleep on the hard concrete. It wasn't very comfortable.

What am I suppose to do? It was getting late and I was really tired. I yawned and my eyes started to droop. Ugh looked like I was sleeping out here. I wonder where Brandon sleeps. probably sleeping in the water.. Wait the water!! I could just sleep there!! Wait... That would be very awkward. Especially when Brandon was sleeping there. Uhh what ever ill just go farther down the shore.

I ran down to the beach and thank goodness i never saw him. I ran down close to the cliffs. And jumped in. I sunk to the bottom and lied down on the sand. And used some sea sponge for a pillow. I closed my eyes and dreamt of the ocean.
