Danny smiled at Clockwork with a tear in one eye. Close behind him a banner, with neat, neon green paint spelling out 'Happy Death-Day!', hung. Under the banner a small coffee table had a cake with the same words and the same ghostly colour scheme. The cake had two tiers and little figures of Danny before he died stood upon the first one. On the second tier - the top - was Phantom, punching a ghost. Spread around the cake were wrapped boxes of various shapes and sizes, each one either black with a silver ribbon or sliver with a black ribbon. They all had little green tags on them. "I can't believe you would do all this... for me!"

"I barely did a thing. If I'd wanted to I could've made a cake that went up to the ceiling, created a mechanical banner so that the words moved and looked cooler, found a bigger table and gotten more presents. This was barely anything!"

Danny got the idea; Clockwork cared for him greatly and was prepared to do just about anything for him at this stage - even if he was pretending to be in denial. "Well thank you for what you have done... although..."

"Hmmm?"

"You forgot the balloons!" Danny stuck his tongue out at Clockwork.

"I wish I'd not kept this a surprise from myself!"

"Well yah did!"

"Get on with it! Presents!"

"Sure old man."

"Just you wait 'till I transform back into a young adult!"

"Nah I can't be bothered!" He chuckled.

Danny walked over and lifted a perfectly square one. Lifting the label, he read the note that Clockwork had left for him. 'Because cloaks are badass and your going to need one... and no asking why, you know the rules!' He laughed. What a way to put it!

Carefully undoing the packaging so as to pull it off without ripping it - partly due to his complete OCD with that kind of thing, but mostly due to the irritation the ripping noise caused his now extremely sensitive ears - he opened up the gift. Pulling out several folded black cloaks - or so the note said - he prepared a space on the floor for all his opened gifts. After putting the cloaks down here he shook one out and took a look at it. On the outside it was pitch black. The inside, however, was white like snow. A silver string allowed it to be tied together at the front. The cloak was a hooded one and the aforementioned hood had a large depth meaning it could be pulled over and hide persons face without hindering their sight. He noticed another note at the bottom of the box. Reaching in he grabbed it and smiled as he read the message given to him. 'Hint: the cloaks are reversible!'

To be continued! The next one will probably be more presents but I hope that the one after that will move on from that to the 'change' mentions in the chapter previous to this. Thanks guys! Stay safe!
