Rowen paced in front of her work desk, she was supposed to be going over the final figures for one of her clients, however, it was nearly impossible to do her job as her mind wouldn't stop spinning thoughts of Liam around in her head.

So, for the sake of keeping her job, she decided to be courageous and call Liam. She had gotten as far as putting her phone on her desk before she started to overthink things, and started pacing.

It had been two days since she had seen him. Two days!

She had wanted to call him the second she had gotten home to tell him that she had shaken off the lust haze and she wanted him to come and get her. The only thing that stopped her was Teagan threatening to tackle her to the floor if she made the phone call. Teagan then went on to inform Rowen that calling someone as soon as you got their number was seen as desperate, or needy.

The thing that Teagan didn't understand about this whole situation was that Rowen was desperate and needy.

What had gotten Rowen to hesitate however was a harsh truth that she wasn't expecting, Teagan's exact words were, "Don't be the crazy woman men are always warned about..."

Rowen didn't want to be the crazy woman, but when you want something or someone, you're supposed to go after them...right?

Rowen found herself listening to Teagan and putting her phone away, not calling or messaging Liam for fear of chasing him off.

It was pretty clear to see that Rowen had fallen for Liam, hard. Her feelings were out of control the minute she met him and after the night at the pub, they were impossible to stop. She knew it was stupid to think of anything like, love at first sight. But there was just something about Liam that just seemed to call to her.

Their chemistry was great. There was no denying that, there was also something else there, something that scared the crap out of her and made her feel good while doing it. There was only one emotion that Rowen knew of that was capable of doing that.

Love.

Rowen shivered, chewing on her thumbnail as she passed by her phone for the... She had no idea how many times she had passed it. It was still there, sitting innocently on her desk, yet somehow it was taunting her, like her own personal little pocket demon.

"Why do I have to wait?" she asked the empty room, looking more and more like the crazy woman Teagan warned her about.

Thankfully, Rowen had locked herself away in her office a while ago. She didn't think her co-workers needed to see her lose her mind.

"Why is it needy to call first? What if it's just... women's empowerment?"

Rowen's phone started to dance across her desk, Rowen stared at it, not sure if she was making this up in her head or not.
