Rowen smiled as she looked at the sleeping figure on her couch. Liam was stretched out, one arm under his head, the other hanging off the side of the couch; his legs, which were too long for her couch, were hanging over the arm. The thick blue blanket that she had given him was over his thighs and the lower half of his well-defined abdomen.

Rowen's eyes went to the pile of neatly folded clothes that had been placed on the armchair, his shoes set neatly in front of it. He must have been warm enough to go without his clothes with the fire going most of the night, considering he wasn't wearing them.

Rowen looked back to Liam, what if he is naked on my couch?

The thought made her smirk to herself, and want to check and see if he was or not. It wasn't because she wanted to see him naked; it was purely for the sake of her very comfortable couch. She didn't think she'd find another one just like it anywhere, no matter how far she looked.

Laughing at herself, Rowen quietly snuck past Liam leaving him to sleep while she made her way into the kitchen. She slid the doors closed, heading towards the kitchen to make herself something to drink.

While she made herself a cup of tea, she idly wondered if Liam drank tea because she didn't have coffee in her house. She hated the bitter drink, even if she did like the smell of it brewing. Flicking the kettle on she readied her cup, thinking about everything that had been said last night.

Liam had given her a lot of information to process, not only the things he did tell her but also the things he left out. While Liam was being somewhat open with her, Rowen couldn't bring herself to tell him about her truth. It wasn't because she didn't trust him; she did, but just like Liam, Rowen's truth wasn't something that she could share with just anyone.

Which was why she understood his need to keep some things about himself to himself for a while longer.

Despite the feelings that they might have for each other, they hadn't known each other very long, and they certainly didn't know each other well enough to go handing over family secrets.

While she had been without her phone, she had time to think about everything that she knew about Liam before his confessions late at night. She had always known that there was something dangerous about him, part of her just thought that maybe it had something to do with his confidence and the power that he obviously held in his life. But when she had stopped to think about it, she realised that she had felt that kind of power before.

She hadn't gotten much work done after that. Her mind was trying to put everything together while avoiding the one thought that she wished she had never had.

She didn't want to assume things as she tried to make sense of everything, considering where her train of thought was taking her, she hoped with everything she had that the man she was falling for didn't turn out to be from the world she had escaped.
