Liam could concentrate on nothing other than what had happened the night before.
When he had read the messages that he had received from Daniel he had felt betrayed and sick to his stomach at the mere thought of Rowen being with Daniel recently; it was hard enough for him to think of her being with Daniel at all, even when it had been in the past.
At that moment, Liam had wanted to kill them both.
Logically he knew that Rowen couldn't have been with Daniel after their break up, he knew because he had men on her twenty-four hours a day, seven days a week. Yet, despite knowing all of that, he still believed what he had seen.
Liam had been running on nothing but pure emotion. He was irrational, he was angry and he was jealous.
When she had tried to call him that night, Liam had glared at his phone. He didn't want to hear her excuses, it was too much of a coincidence that she was calling him so soon after Daniel had sent him the pictures, and yet, he still answered the phone. He never spoke to her, anything that he had said to her would have made things so much worse.
Looking back, it was the smartest thing he had done that night; otherwise, Rowen might not have forgiven him for what he had done to her.
He could hear the panic in her voice, she knew that Daniel had sent him something and she was calling him because of it. Her voice had been so sad in the end, so defeated that it broke him a little to hear it. Nevertheless, he still didn't speak to her. He sat at his desk, listening as she explained about the pictures, draining him of any anger towards her.
Liam had wanted to slaughter Daniel and the idiot who had given him Liam's phone number in the first place. It didn't take him too long to figure out that the only other person, that had his number and would be stupid enough to give it out, was his cousin Amara.
When Rowen mentioned that she didn't know that the picture had been taken, the need to kill Daniel rose. Daniel was turning into a vile human being, that didn't deserve the air he was breathing. For him to violate a woman's trust like that was not something that Liam could comprehend.
Then she hung up and Liam snapped.
He was furious with himself for ever thinking that Rowen was the kind of woman who would do something like that to someone she cared about. In his rage, Liam picked up his scotch glass, throwing it across the room, the crystal tumbler shattering against the wall loudly.
Carlos walked into the office, looking at the shattered glass before looking up at Liam. He quickly scanned him to make sure that he was alright before closing the door and walking slowly towards him. Carlos could see the rage burning inside of Liam and he knew what that rage could do to a person.
"What happened?" Carlos asked nodding his head towards the broken tumbler.
"I fucked up," Liam said sliding his phone across the desk.
