Chapter 3

Shay's POV

"Okay students, hope you have a great rest of the day." Mr. Toro said. I'm pretty sure him, Mr. Way and Mr. Iero were all friends. Somehow I can tell. I guess I have superpowers.

For this class it was just me and Jinxx. Scarlet and Andy have Social Studies this period while me and Jinxx have Music. I don't know where CC and Ashley are but they are together somewhere.

"That was a fun class." I said to Jinxx as we were walking out the door to lunch.

"Yeah, I guess. At least he liked some good bands." Jinxx made hand motions towards the door and we walked into the crowded hallway. As we were walking toward another hallway to get to the lunch room, preppy girls were following us. Eh, they are just walking to the lunch room as well. Where else would they go?

"Hey, Jinxx, I'm just going to go to the bathroom. Meet you in the lunch room?" He nodded his head and kept walking while I walked into the bathroom.

While I was exiting the bathroom stall, I was met with the preppy girls looking at themselves in the mirrors.

"Oh, look Maggy, it's that emo red head that was in front of us." One of them said. Her friend turned around and looked at me with a smirk. "Is that dyed hair? Or is it just that color from all the blood from you cutting yourself?" They both snickered and came towards me.

"Woah, okay guys. Don't need to beat me up because of my hair." I laughed a little then realized they weren't joking. The 'Maggy' girl swung her fist and it connected with my jaw, sending me stumbling back to the wall.

"Let's finish her off." Her friend nodded and grabbed me by the hair. I struggled to get out of her grip and when I finally did, I immediately started slapping Maggy. She was screaming and her friend wasn't doing anything until I stopped and turned my attention towards her.

"You bitch." She sassily walked over to me but I beat her to it and punched her in the mouth. She fell back on the ground and I walked past her, trying to get out. "Get back here!" Maggy said. I guess I didn't realize that she was up again. She grabbed my foot and I fell flat on my face. My vision started getting blurry as Maggy and her friend both hurried out of the bathroom. I think I passed out for a second cause next thing I know Scarlet and CC were standing over me.

"How did you get in the bathroom." I groggily asked CC. He laughed a little and said, "I couldn't let you just stay here alone and hurt." He picked my head up and propped me up against a wall.

"Hey, Shay. Do you remember your name? Like, full name, you hit your head pretty hard." Scarlet asked a little worried.

"Shaylin Brighton Delgado." I said, rubbing my head. "I need an ice pack, please." CC nodded vigorously and rushed out of the bathroom.

"So, what happened Shay." Scarlet sat next to me on the floor and I told her everything. About the preppy girls following me and Jinxx, about what they said, everything.

"Wow, that's a lot. Does Jinxx know?" Scar asked.

"No, and I didn't know I was getting beaten up either." CC came back with the ice pack. I nodded a 'thanks' and stood up.

"Woah, take it easy. I don't want you falling if you get up too quick." CC put him hands on my shoulders to steady my balance and I blushed.

"I'm fine, I just need something to eat, I'm hungry." They nodded and led me out to the lunch room. When we got there, new people I didn't recognize were sitting with Andy, Jinxx, and Ashley.

"Who are they?" I whispered to Scarlet.

"Oh, the one next to Andy is Jake. He is super nice. Then there is Craig, TJ, Kevin, Max, and Robert. Then, at the end, is Tyler and Josh. Super nice guys." Scar said, pointing everywhere.

"Okay..." I said, trying to remember everything.

"Hey beautiful- what happened?" Ashley asked. I looked at him with a weird glare. Did he just call me beautiful? 

"Oh sorry," Ashley said. "Nickname."

"Oh, well anyway, preppy bitches beat me up." I sighed and sat down in between the guy named Josh and the guy named TJ.

"Sorry to hear that." Josh said, forming a straight line with his lips and nodding is head. His friend Tyler did the same.

"It's okay, I got to fight back a little bit." I laughed then winced at the pain scrunching up my face gave me.

"They just don't understand how to act nice." TJ said. I nodded my head and held my hand out. "Shay." He shook my hand and said, "TJ Bell." I nodded and half smiled, still trying not to hurt my face even more.

"Ugh, I'm so fucking tired and hungry." I plopped my head down on TJ's shoulder and just sighed. "Sorry if I'm making you uncomfortable, I'm just tired."

"It's okay, hey Robert, can you get her something to eat?" TJ said while he wrapped his arm around me. Robert, who was sitting across from us, nodded and got up to get something. I looked around the table. Tyler and Josh were looking at memes on their phones, Max was talking to Kevin and Jake, Craig was writing in a notebook, and Ashley, Scarlet, Andy and CC were talking about something.

"Here you go." Robert said as he handed me an apple. "Thanks." I said quietly and then bit into the apple. I'm so fucking glad I'm eating right now. I need energy for the rest of the day, bad.

As I was finishing my apple, the bell rang, signaling for last period. I sighed and threw my apple in the trash. "Okay," I talked to everyone. "Who has Social Studies with Ms. Ballato?" Josh, Tyler, Craig, Jake, Scarlet, and Jinxx raised their hand.

"Yay! Friends!" I shouted. "I wish everyone was in one class together." I frowned. I didn't have the class with Robert, Max, TJ, Kevin, Andy, Ashley, or CC.

"It's okay, we will all be hanging out later at my house, right?" Tyler said. Everyone nodded. "Sick, see you guys later." Tyler said to the other group and we all headed to our classes.
