Chapter 7-Happy May be not

"Eliana I didn't know Aiden was your brother. I promise."

"Forget it just get out of here both of you. Annabelle I'm just trying to protect you but you know what forget it just leave. Please."

"Hey, are you okay?" Aiden asked with concern, "I understand if you don't want to go to breakfast with me anymore." No, No, No I still wanted to go.

"I'm fine, let's go."

Aiden took me to this small cafe where we got coffee and scones. He was so polite and he paid and everything. Was this considered a date?

Whatever I didn't know and I didn't care I was determined to have a good time. No matter what Eliana thought. However, I did care if she cared that I went out with Aiden. Was that bad?

"This is a nice place. Thank you for taking me," I said.

"Thank you for coming," Aiden smiled he has the nicest smile. It was almost like in the movies where every time the cute guy smiled there was a sparkle. Aiden's teeth twinkled. He had the twinkle!

"Can I ask you something?"

"You just did," he smirked. I returned his smirk with a giggle.

"No seriously."

"Okay you can ask me one question about anything."

"What happened with you and Eliana? Why doesn't she want us to be together? I mean we are just getting breakfast it's not like we are getting married or anything."

"I said one question."

I sighed. Fine. "What happened that makes Eliana not want us to possibly ever be together?"

"You just combined your questions that's not fair," Aiden pouted.

"Too bad life's not fair you said you would answer."

"Fine but then I get to ask you any question that I want to."

"Deal."

"Okay so last year I dated this girl, Charlotte. She was also Eliana's roommate and friend. Eliana got jealous because Charlotte would rather spend time with me and Charlotte didn't really like Eliana ever. She said that Eliana was never really her friend and they had some huge fight. Eliana got mad at me and blamed me for Charlotte abandoning her. Charlotte ended up moving at the end of the year to some other school. We broke up because of the distance. I guess Eliana never forgave me."

That's so sad. Eliana was and is mad at the wrong person for the wrong reasons. This Charlotte sounds like she was never truly her friend. She probably just used Eliana to get to Aiden. If that did happen then why did she tell me that Aiden was a heart breaker. Why would she tell me that she wanted to protect me?

"Now it's my turn to ask you a question."

"Right. So, what's your question?"

"Why would you go and tell off Blake? He can get you thrown out of this school."

"Does everyone know about that?"

"Well, it's going around."

"Does everyone really think he has that much power. He has you all brainwashed. Blake has no power. All the power he thinks he has is from his dad being the dean of the school. Even then, his father can't just kick someone out because his son doesn't like them. He needs a probable cause."

"He could lie and say you did something that you didn't."

"Then it would be his word against mine and he would need evidence. Honestly, I don't like knowing that everyone is talking about me. I've never enjoyed being in the spotlight. I have been here one day and practically everyone knows who I am. People said 'Hi Annabelle' all day yesterday and I didn't even know them."
