I can't stop thinking about Aiden. I really want him to be okay. How could he think I would lie to him? I thought he knew me better than that.
I wrote in my journal. After my conversation with Aiden I just went back to my room and decided to write. I also wrote a little bit of a song. I knew I couldn't just stay inside my room feeling bad for myself.
I didn't know what to do so I just started wandering around the building and school grounds.
"Anna is that you?" I looked up as I saw Amy's blonde hair with gentle curls falling down her back.
"Ya it's me do you need help with that?" I looked at all the sheet music she was holding as I gestured to take some.
"Yes, thank you." Amy nodded as she handed me half of her papers.
"So, how's everything going? Are we gonna work on a song for Final Showcase?"
"Everything is going well. I almost forgot that we talked about that. I'm almost done with the music then you and I can work on lyrics."
"Sounds good." I nodded as we kept walking.
"Hey can I ask you something?" Amy said quietly. She always was the shy one in the group.
"Sure, what's up? Is something wrong?" I furrowed my eyebrows in confusion.
"Why did you break up with Aiden if you really liked him and he really liked you?" Amy sighed. " I know that he said he still had feelings for Charlotte, but he said he would work it out with you."
"I didn't want to be with Aiden if he loved someone else."
"He loved you too. Are you sure you didn't just give him up so easily because you had already moved on?"
"What are you talking about?" I looked at her with confusion written all over my body. I couldn't be with someone who loved someone else that wouldn't be fair to anyone. Right?
"Oh, Anna don't be naive. It's obvious you have feelings for Blake and Charlotte was just an excuse so you could dump Aiden and go straight to Blake. How could you be so inconsiderate of Aiden?"
"That is not true." I defended. Why does everyone think I had feelings Blake? We were friends. We are friends, good friends and that's it. That is all it ever will be.
"Are you that clueless?" Amy started to seem as if she was angry. Almost jealous.
"If I didn't know any better I would think that you like Aiden." Did I just say that?
Ya, Annabelle you did and it sounded kinda mean.
Shut up conscience.
Fine, but you have to eat those words.
Amy was silent. She really does have feelings for Aiden. "Amy, I'm so sorry I didn't mean to-"
"Stop. It's fine." She sighed, "I never had a chance with him I shouldn't be mad at you. If he still loves Charlotte after all that she did to him that's his fault."
"He didn't know." I stated.
"What?" Amy looked confused.
"I just told him about what Charlotte did. Aiden had no idea and he thought I was lying to him because I was jealous."
"Were you jealous?"
Yes.
"No." I lied. Okay, but I wasn't going to tell Amy that when I knew she liked him to.
"Do you want him back? Aiden would probably take you back if you told him."
Yes, I did want him back, kind of.
