Two weeks later~
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN YOU WON'T BE WALKING HOME WITH ME ANYMORE?" I screamed at a very visibly terrified Peter.
The whole hallway looked at me. Then at Peter and back to whatever they were doing before poking their nose in my business.
"The Stark internship..." Peter mumbled.
Ned gave him a look I couldn't quite determine and then left muttering "Betty's scary when she's kept waiting.."
"You didn't have it the past few months!" I calmed a bit down. I didn't even know why I was so angry. Maybe it's that time of the month. I'll have to check.
"Yeah, the city has been...I mean Mr. Stark has been out of state."
"That's not fair, Pete. You get to go upstate and hang out with Tony Stark and Pepper Potts and Black Widow and freaking SPIDERMAN while I'm sitting at home writing fanfiction about Spider-Man."
"You write fanfiction about m-Spider Man?" He looked stumped.
"Is that important?" I asked with my hands on my hips.
"Not right now..."
"Take me to to your internship. I'll fangirl a bit and come home." I was literally on my knees as is ended the sentence.
"Get up... people will think." He looked around nervously, ruffling up his hair.
"I am not getting up till you say yes, Mr. Parker. I am your best friend. Ned has gone so why can't I go?"
He cursed. "I told that idiot not to tell anyone."
"Just please. One day. Just say yes so I can get up. My knees are hurting." I made puppy dog eyes at him.
He groaned. "Not the puppy eyes...."
"You use it on me, I use it on you. Puppy dog eyes are a two way street."
He rolled his eyes. "Fine. Get up."
I got up and immediately hugged him.
"Thank you thank you thank you!" I sang and then ran off to class.
Later that day~
Peter's POV~
"Don't judge me, Mr. Stark." I all but cried into his phone in the bathroom.
"And why should I not? Your cover is in jeopardy. That Led or Med or Ned knows and so does Aunt Bae."
"It's May! And didn't you and Ms. Potts just get engaged?" If he calls my aunt 'bae' one more time, I'm telling Ms. Potts.
"..not relevant. Wonderful. So now I have to pretend you have a working internship at Stark Industries. Ugh. See you later, kid." He hung up. Rude. But still awesome.
Damn those puppy dog chocolate brown eyes.
Next chapter (probably today) will be meeting the left Avengers.
