"Hello, ice queen. Looking very frosty. Channeling your inner Elsa?" I commented the second Betty barrelled towards me as I entered the auditorium.
She was wearing a form fitting, midi style pale blue dress with her hair in a braid over her shoulder. I wonder how many Frozen jokes she'd gotten.
"I was here to compliment your dress. Not hear another goddamn frozen joke. They keep saying Elsa's dating that little boy from Up." She said in a hushed voice. I started laughing. Howling with laughter.
"I. Can't. Believe. I. Forgot. That. Joke." I choked.
She glared at me but seemed to regain her composure. "Where's Peter? Ned's over trying to fix the disco light. Oh, and don't have the punch. Some SOB spiked it." She asked, looking around the hall.
"Parking the car. Wow. Peter Parker parking the car." I started giggling again.
She looked weirdly at me. "Are you high or something?" She asked, sniffing me for drugs.
"No! I just feel really happy, Ms. Sniffer dog." I rolled my eyes.
Suddenly I spotted Peter walking in the gym, looking around. I ditched Betty unceremoniously, eliciting a 'Hey!' from her.
I ran to Peter and kissed him full on the mouth. We swayed on the spot but his extreme gracefulness and power over his feet kept us upright.
"Someone's very happy today!" He grinned joyously at me, causing my heart to melt.
I had no idea why I was acting like how I was acting. I was fine at home. The giddiness and joy started when I saw my dream car along with my dream guy.
"Yeah! I don't know why, though. Normally, I'm stressing out over you or school or the fact that I'm fat but today....." I laughed.
"You're not fat." He crossed his arms.
"You have eyes. I'm not exactly Scarlett Johanssen. I'm fat, Peter. And that's ok. I'm not as pretty as other girls but I have something they don't."
"I don't care if you think that you're fat. You are not fat. You're just pouffy." He quoted from Ice Age.
"Ice Age. And I am fat."
He ignored me. Stubborn SpiderBoy. "And what do you have that other girls don't? Besides beauty and smarts and oodles of sarcasm and.."
I rolled my eyes but smiled nevertheless. "I have you, Spidey Boy." I whispered the last part.
"Aw, you're a romantic at heart." He slung a hand around my shoulders.
"Only with you." I grinned cheekily.
I saw Michelle in one of the corners, looking mildly interested as she looked around.
"Hey, there's MJ. Let's go." I pulled Peter along.
"MJ is a good friend but I don't get why you invited her. I wanted it to be just us." He pouted.
