"Gah, I told you to invite them at 8 at night. Why do I need to get up in the morning?" I mumbled into my pillow.

"You have school. Wake up before I throw water on you." My mom said as she tried to wake me up.

"Go bully Salman. I'm up." I scowled at the ceiling.

At school ~

"What do you mean a small get together?" Betty shrieked, for lack of a better word.

"Its means a small collection of people getting together." I rolled my eyes at her and then at the food my mom packed. Roti? Really?

"Why not a big party? Turning 15 is huge!" She told me.

"No. You, Ned, Peter, Michelle, Jared, Gwen are enough." I said determinedly. I don't want a huge fiasco of a birthday party.

"At 8, right, darling?" Peter grinned.

"Yeah, sweetheart." I snorted. Then we both dissolved into laughter which led to every person at the table shaking their heads.

The party wasn't in the least bit memorable. Betty had been right. Never tell her that.

Next week~

"Party at my house next week, losers. My parents will be out." Maria said. She was one of the stereotypical cheerleader mean girls with one glitch. She was an exceptionally gifted artist and not very dumb.

"And you're inviting us...why?" Michelle looked up.

"Because I want to." She looked sincere."Also because I wanna show off my new house. I designed it, you know." There it was. I couldn't stand her. It was hate at first sight for both of us. I have no idea why. She tossed her hair. She'd be the perfect match for Flash. If she weren't, like, a foot taller than him.

"You're never gonna do things for the right reason, are you? You'll always be a....there isn't a polite word for that in English. Or any other language." I shook my head at her.

She glared at me. "Just be there, writer bitch."

"Alright, artist whore!" I called back at her.

"I don't get your rivalry." Ned looked at me.

"Me neither."Peter joined in.

"You know how Spider-Man has arch enemies popping up all over?" I grinned at the look on Peter's face. "Its the same here, just instead of twenty there's only one."

"Reza, wanna go for a walk? Free period." Spidey asked as he got up.

"Sure. Field?" I got up too.

"You guys can just say that you want to make out. That's what Ned and I do." Bets rolled her eyes.

"And that's why you've scarred all of us. And Peter and I aren't going to make out. Probably." I grinned wickedly. I grabbed Peter's hand and left.

We walked in silence. It was nice. Peaceful. Calming.

"I might die, Sanya." Peter began. We were under the bleachers.

"We all will die. What do you mean specifically?"  I have my dumb moments. Everyone does.

Peter's POV~

Is she being so infuriatingly dumb on purpose?

"I mean now. Any day some 'archenemy' might prove to be too much for me. He...or she..could. Could kill me. It'd be better for you to know the risks of dating me." I hesitated at first., but then the words flew out of me.

She placed her hand on my cheek. I nearly went cross eyed trying to see it.

"I know the risks. I've seen more than enough movies about that. I am scared of losing you, Peter." She gulped. "I'm terrified that one day I'm gonna wake up to the news that Spider-Man is dead. But that is not going to make me push you away just because I won't be able to cope with your death. I am not a coward." She growled fiercely. That just made me fall for her more.

"Calm, my little Gryffindor." I pulled her into a hug. "I'm going to stick around and call you little for many years to come. I swear."

"Don't make promises you can't keep. But hearing them is nice." She mumbled into my chest.

"Yeah. It is." I closed my eyes and just held her.

After a while, we broke apart. "Are you going to ask me to the Winter Formal?" She suddenly said with hands on her hips.

"That's 2 and a half weeks away." I said incredulously.

She just looked at me.

"Fine. Okay, will you go to the Winter Formal with me?"

"Yes."

"Great. I'm late for AP Chem." I gave a careless glance at my watch.

"And I'm late for English Honors." She looked annoyed. Who knows at what?

She walked away after taking me to my class, claiming she didn't want me to die in school. She then stamped my foot in front of everyone when I pointed out that she was the more accident prone and that I was incredibly fast healing. The stamping didn't hurt me, of course... That girl, however much I like her, however incredible she is , is so going to be the death of me. Or the reason of my death. Course, that only adds to her incredibility. How the hell am I- my thought was interrupted.

"Mr. Parker. Who are we dreaming about?" Mr. Brown mock glared at me although he had an unhealthy obsession with my personal life and knew everything about me. He was a nice guy. I'm pretty sure he has the hots for May, though. Almost every teacher in every school I've been in has.

"Mr. Parker! You just spent a blissful hour with Ms. Reza roaming around. Could you please concentrate on colloids for just half an hour? Then dream about her as much as you want." He glared, but with a twinkle in his eyes.

And the dying starts.
