Chapter 8

Haru's POV

"I love you." He said to me.

It was the first time he had said that to me. Ever. It made me feel warm inside. I looked up at him. His eyes twinkled. He smiled at me. I returned the smile. I laid against him more. It was honestly the best feeling. His warmth, his scent, his heart beat. It made me feel more at home than ever.

Eventually, the sun began to set. We stayed together the rest of the night. We were laying on my bed, when I heard a knock at my door from down stairs. I sighed and tried to get up. Rin, who was half asleep pulled me back down.

"Rin. There's someone at the door. I have to get up," I smiled. He groaned and slowly unwrapped his arms.

I walk down the stair and opened the door. Makoto, Sousuke, Rei, and Nagisa stood there. I looked at them confused.

"Where were you today?!" Nagisa shrieked.

"I uh had company," I said looking at Sousuke.

"So? They could have waited until after practice. We all needed it!" Nagisa shrieked again.

"Calm down a bit," Rei said placing his hand on Nagisa's shoulder.

"Who was here that was so important?" Makoto asked.

"Me," I turned to see Rin.

"Rin?!" Nagisa yelled.

"What."

"How? When? What?" He looked shocked.

"Why don't you guys come in." I sighed.

While I found some sort of snack to calm down Nagisa, Rin and Sousuke went outside to talk.

I had to explain that Rin just showed up and he was staying with me. I didn't bother to tell them that we were sort of a thing because I'd never hear the end of it.

Rin and Sousuke came in a few moments after I finished explaining. Rin seemed so relaxed. His eyes were soft when he looked at me. Like they were before.

The boys stayed a little longer. They all talked about the swim meet coming up and how it would be our last. I just wanted to be right next to Rin. With his arms around me, while he joked and talk with the boys. But he and I had to keep it a secret from them. Until we thought was the right time.

After the swim meet...

I hope you guys like this chapter. I know its short but I haven't had much time. Its been a hard few weeks for me.
