Chapter 7

Rin's Pov

I pressed my lips against his own. His lips were warm and soft. The thing I longed the most in life. He didn't move for a second but then, his lips molded with my own. I pulled back and wiped my tears that had fallen. He looked at me. His eyes filled with joy and love. I loved him and I still do.

"Rin..." Haru said.

"Yes?"

"I-I've missed you."

"I've missed you too," I hugged him.

We didn't say anything more. I held him close like I once did. He was different. There was something I couldn't place my finger on about him.

Eventually, Haru fell asleep. With his arms wrapped around me, I didn't move. He was peaceful right now. The little sounds of him breathing made me smile. I closed my eyes to rest also.

Haru's POV

My eyes fluttered open and I rolled over to see a mess head of hair. Smiling to myself, I carefully, and quietly got out of my bed. I ran my hands over my face and let out a sigh. 

He was back. Back in my life. But why now? It confused me the he randomly showed up to my house. Nothing was making sense. But it doesn't matter right now. I walked down stairs to make breakfast.

As I looked in the refrigerator, I felt arms wrap around me. Lips pressed all over my neck and shoulder blades. It sent shivers down my spine. I turned around to face him. His expression was soft. His eyes weren't full of hatred. They were calm. I gently put my lips on his and put my arms around his neck. I pulled back as his phone rang in is sweatpant pocket.

"What Sousuke?" Rin answered.

"I'm a bit busy right now," he paused.

"No I'm not home..." "I'm out right now. And I don't know when I'll be back. Bye," he hung up.

"Sorry. Sousuke being nosy like always."

"Its okay."

"Do you want to go out?"

"Where?" I asked

"The park."

"Sure. I haven't been there in a while," I smiled.

"Good. Let's get dressed and we'll walk together," he returned the smile.

I walked outside and locked the door. Rin laced out fingers together and I blushed. He smiled at me. As we walked, a breeze blew over us. It was nice out.

We walked passed Iwatobi. That's when I remembered I still had classes today. I looked at Rin then at the school. I didn't want to go.

I turned to walk the other way when, Rin pulled me toward the school. He pulled me through doors, around corners, and down stairs. He pushed through the glass doors that I knew well. The pool doors.

He stopped right at the edge. I saw his eyes glistened. A slight gloss. He looked at me. His eyes say it all. The spot where he was standing and where I was standing, is the exact spot where we got into the argument that started it all.

"Haru, I am so sorry for what I did to you. I was a fool and I-" he started to say.

"It's okay Rin. It's all behind me now because you're back," I said, with a small smile.

"Okay."

"Wanna swim?" I asked.

"Sure," he smiled. "How about a race?"

"You're on," I gave him a smirk.

*after the race*

We stayed in the water, just floating. Rin had won our little race. I flipped over quietly, and swam under toward Rin. I came up under him, and pulled him down. He immediately shot back up to the surface. I came up and laughed. He coughed and looked at me. I stopped.

He looked at me then splashed me. I splashed back. We got into a splash fight. After a while, we got out. The school was going to be let out soon and we both agreed not to be around when it does.

We walked back to my house and we flopped on the couch together. Rin put his arm around me and I leaned into him.

"Haru?" Rin said.

"Hm?"

"I love you."
