Chapter 2

It was finally lunch time and the day was going by fairly fasts thankfully. I walked down the hallway with Michael because he's in my 4th period and we have tired lunch so after we eat we go right to 5th. We walked in a comfortable silence until Michael quietly said, "So, do you still like Luke?"

"Yeah." I said blushing slightly, he should've know because I've always liked Luke and he knows that, I guess he just wanted to make conversation. It was kind of odd, seeing as he knew I liked him, so I decided to ask why.

"Because we was talking to Jerika and I and he said he liked someone, someone that the group knew, had long pretty hair, nice eyes, and what kind of gave it aways was, she sometimes wore glasses and sometimes didn't." Was Michaels answer, to which I was astounded.

"Are you fucking with me right now because if you are I will drop to the ground and cry, and for all we know he might not be taking about me." I told him through gritted teeth but calming down towards the end. Michael laughed, shaking his head, his laugh was too cute!

"I'm not messing with you! Go to the bathroom after you eat and ask Jerika, she'll tell you!"

Mikey said chuckling.

"Fine, I will, but if you're lying, I-I'll not talk to you for an entire day!" I threatened poorly, trying not to laugh at my stupid threat.

"You can't not talk to me for day, you'd miss me too much!" He said hugging me.

"Yeah yeah" I say laughing. We get to the lunch room and go to the table with the rest of the group, thankfully we all had the same lunch.

"Heyyyyy babes!" I say approaching my lovely group of friends. I sit down next to Jerika with my lunch-box while Michael goes to the lunch line to get food. I get multiple waves and "Hi's" back. Smiling I open my lunch and pull out my water bottle, yogurt, and half of a peanut butter and jelly sandwich and start eating. Everyone chats amongst themselves, Michael just sat down and started eating. After a little bit I finish eating and so do the others. "Hey Jerika, will you go to the bathroom with me please?" I ask her.

"Yup!" She tells me happily. We get up and throw away our trash and go into the bathroom.

"So, is what Michael said true about Luke?" I asked her, it took her a few seconds to figure it out, quickly answering,

"Yes! I knew he was taking about you, it was kind of obvious, I don't think he thought he was being obvious, but that poor little shit was." She told me laughing. I smiled thinking maybe I did have a chance.

"Ok good! Thank you for telling me! I'm gonna pee now!" I told her laughing and then quickly walking into the stall because I really had to pee.

It was now 6th period, which was Algebra 2 Honors, Jerika and Luke are in this class with me and the teacher was letting us just relax because he knew no one was gonna do anything today and with it being the last class before summer. Jerika and Luke were talking about something, I'm not really sure what because I was too busy daydreaming about the fact that Luke might like me, which really surprised me honestly.

"Jacquelyn, Jacquelyn!" Jerika called my name waving her hand in front of my face.

"W-what?!" I stuttered snapping out of my daydreaming state. They were both laughing at me, I'm sure I was blushing.

"We were just saying that there is 3 minutes left of school then were out of here for 2 and a half months! And how excited we are" Luke said to me settling down form his laughing fit.

"Oh, ok! And yeah I'm really excited too! I feel like this is gonna be a good summer!" I said happily and smiling. The afternoon announcements came on and the principle wished us a good summer. Finally the bell rang and everyone got up exiting the room quickly. The three of us waited till all the crazy people were out of the way. "Damn people" I muttered under my breath, apparently Luke heard because he snickered and looked at me. We went to out lockers and made sure we had everything taking the locks off and putting them into the lockers, closing the doors. After we did that, we all made our way to the parking lot and Jerika asked me for a ride home and I told her I'd give her one. We got into my silver Hyundai Elantra that used to be my dads. I personally loved the car, it had good gas mileage, and was just overall a good car. I drove to her house and we sang Pierce The Veil songs all the way to her house. We got to her house and said goodbye and that we would text each other later. I drove the rest of the way home which was only about 4 minutes away. I made it home, took all of my shit inside and put it up, than sat in the couch. I let out a breath I didn't know I was holding, I actually made it through the year without relapsing or getting bad again, all because of Luke.
