"H-hi Jacquelyn." Luke said stuttering slightly and smiling which was cute because he had no reason to be nervous, he's Luke.
"Hey Luke" I said to him trying not to stutter, smiling back, because I was really nervous, once again, it's Luke fucking Hemmings. My crush since like forever.
"Are you ready?" He asked me beginning to walk down my porch steps, I nodded my head and followed behind him. We got to his car and he opened the passenger door for me, I carefully got in trying not to make a fool of myself in front of him. Thankfully I didn't, and he shut the door, quickly walking over the drivers side, getting in and closing the door. We were soon on our way to this cute little diner by the beach, Luke had told me because I had no clue where we were going. The radio softy played in the background, both of us quiet, it was almost an awkward silence, but it wasn't if that makes sense. We're both kind if awkward people, but it was comfortable I guess you could say.
A few minutes later we pulled up to the cafe and we both ordered our drinks.
"So how have you been?" Luke asked me trying to make conversation.
"I've been pretty good, same as yesterday at school but a little more excited because it's finally summer!" I told him happily, with a smile on my face, my right dimple making an
appearance. Luke chuckled because he remembered yesterday school had ended and we had talked about it a little bit.
"Haha, yeah me too" he told me smiling his amazing smile, and his lip ring making me want to melt along with his dimples. Damn him and his attractiveness. The waitress brought us out drinks and we both ordered a chicken sandwich since it was lunch time. We both sat and looked at each other, taking in everything, it wasn't really as awkward as I had imagined it to be. Our staring was interrupted with the lady bringing us our food. I guess we were staring at each other for a while then, hmm. We both finished eating, talking about the weather and random things while we ate. Occasionally taking small glances at one another, it was cute.
"Hi, could I please have the check." Luke kindly asked our waitress who had walked by, she nodded and walked away.
"Do you want me to pay for half?" I asked him, not wanting to seem rude.
"No, I've got it, I'm not gonna let you pay on our date." He said, grinning.
"This is a date?" I asked him, blushing. I wasn't aware it was a date, but I was sure ok with it!
"Y-yeah, I thought so" he replied nervously, laughing awkwardly.
"Oh! I want sure, but I kind of thought so too!" I told him, laughing. I'm sure we were both blushing, I knew Luke was, so I'm sure I was too.
"Ready to go walk around on the beach?" Luke asked me, getting up. I shook my head yes, smiling then getting up also.
We got to the sidewalk and Luke took my hand before we walked across the street, holy shit I almost made a weird noise but I kept it in. Or so I thought because Luke looked over and smiled, laughing slightly at me.
C'mon Jacquelyn, get it together!
We arrived at the beach and we walked on the sidewalk because it had less sand on it. We would've walked on the sand, but we had our Vans on. The sun was starting to set and the sky looked beautiful. I saw Luke slowing down next to me, he walked over to a bench, looking it over before sitting on it. I walked over and sat next to him, his right arm stretched out and laid around my waist and pulled me close to him. I laid my head down on his shoulder and we both watched the sunset in a comfortable silence. After a few minutes Luke said,
"Can I ask you something?" A little bit nervously, turning to look at me.
"Yeah, what's up?" I asked as casually as possible and turning to look back at him, not sure what he was going to ask me.
"Do you like me?" He blurted out quickly, coughing awkwardly.
I sat for a few seconds trying to think of a way to tell him without sounding creepy. "Um, yeah I do, why?" I asked not a confident as I had hoped I would sound.
"Well I just wanted to know because if you had said no, I would've had to change my answer and lie." He said much calmer than before.
"So you don't like me...?" I asked slowly unsure of what he meant by his previous statement.
"No, no, I do, I was just saying I wouldn't have really know what to say if you had said you didn't like me." He explained nervously. I nodded my head understanding what he said. We both stayed silent till Luke started leaning in slowly and I did the same but then I remembered I've never kissed anyone before.
"Um Luke." I said quietly still looking at him.
"Yes?" He asked silently still looking me in the eyes.
"I've never kissed anyone before, so I'm sorry."" I told him blushing from embarrassment, but still quietly.
"This should be fun then." He said smirking and closing the small gap between us.
Let me tell you, tonight was one of the best nights of my life, all because of Luke. And might I add, he is a really great kisser!
