A/N; IT'S GO TIME. WOOOH. GET PUMPED. sorry for the late update; I had practice all week. GAAH. it was dreadful. :( love you all. :D xx

"Turn right on Fifth, and then take the first left onto Willow," Lucy instructed, thumbing through the directions on her iPhone. Neither me nor Lucy were big fast food fans, so a downtown LA McDonalds was a new location for us. Every street I passed, every second I got closer to seeing their faces, I regretted agreeing to this. Was it too late to call it off?

"Hello? Allie!" Lucy called out as I passed Fifth Street. "What the hell? Pay attention."

"What?" I shook my head. "Sorry..." I bit my lip.

"Let me drive," Lucy insisted, setting down her phone.

"No...really. I just...I'm kind of re-thinking this a bit," I admitted, making a U-turn. Lucy sighed.

"Okay, let me get this straight here. You want to miss out on pigging out with a world-famous super-hot boyband because...Because why?" She crossed her arms and fished through her bag.

"I'm sorry, you must've missed this whole conversation we had about an hour ago," I spat, jerking the car around the corner, sending a group of vehicles to honk loudly and obnoxiously.

"I think I remember," Lucy said sarcastically. "But...if Niall wasn't the one who did all this to you...I don't know, Al. You know I don't believe in this fate BS, but...maybe Niall came into your life for a reason."

"That may have been the most philosophical thing you've ever said, Lucy," I told her emotionlessly. "I'm proud."

"Whatever. Think about it, though."

I have thought about it, I remembered. It wouldn't hurt to try: make the best of the situation.

"We'll see," I said quietly. We were silent for the rest of the ride, except for Lucy whom was occasionally giving me directions in a small voice that I'd never heard her use.

The McDonalds was gross.

Graffiti lined the pavement and the neon lights had gone out in a few letters so that the sign now read C N O D S. The few cars that were in the parking lot sat between two hastily-drawn uneven white lines.

"Are you sure this is it?" I asked weakly. Lucy bit her lip and stared at her phone.

"That's the address Liam gave us," she replied matter-of-factly. "You'd think being in a million-dollar-income band would get you able to afford better eateries."

"It is McDonalds," I reasoned, as if that simple explanation would solve everything.

"I think I'm scared to eat here," Lucy mumbled.

I chuckled and nudged her half-heartedly. "Come on, let's go inside."

We made our was over to the door which creaked when I opened it. The inside was much nicer, thank goodness: more like a regular McDonalds. I tried to ignore the pugnant smell of grease that penatrated the air as thick as smoke as we walked up to the register. As we did so, I heard the door open. Slowly, Lucy and I turned around and watched three of the five boys from One Direction make our way over to us.

"Hey Allie, Lucy." Louis was the first to greet us, followed by Liam and Harry. Harry grinned cheekily at us, like he knew something the others didn't, which made my heart race.

"Oh, hey guys," I replied nonchalently, as if I had no idea that a bunch of admittedly attractive celebrities were coming to meet us for dinner...or whatever this was.
