A/N; Sorry I haven't been uploading, guys; I've been super busy searching for a cover. I hated leaving you guys on this cliffhanger, but...here's a new chapter. (;
Niall's POV.
You could hear a pin drop in the dressing room right now.
It was funny; I was almost never serious. If I was, my friends knew there was something wrong. There was no need to try and figure out the problem now. Harry's green eyes were confused, Liam had his mouth wide open with full view of the half-eaten goldfish cracker that sat on his tongue, Louis had bit his lip carefully and Zayn just sat there, contemplating.
"So. You two know each other?" he said, his grin wavering.
I saw Allie's lips slide up in her familiar smile; the one I'd missed so much. "How'd you figure that one out?"
"I have a sixth sense for this kind of stuff," Zayn replied, grinning. My heart started beating again. Thank God for the boys; always able to break the ice.
"Welcome to the dressing room!" Louis said theatrically. I rolled my eyes. "You know who we are, so I won't bother with introductions."
"And I think you've met...Niall..." Harry snickered.
Allie laughed. "Nice observation skills, Styles."
"Are you one of those girls who bought a backstage pass?" Liam asked, swallowing his cracker. Allie shook her head.
"Nawh, she saved my phone," Harry said, at ease again. He flopped onto the couch next to me and Louis.
"Oh my God. You saved it. You're, like, my hero," Louis teases.
Allie curtsied. "You know it. Add your name to the list of people I've just ... inspired." She winked and laughed. "Wow, I didn't just say that."
"Oh, but you did." Zayn elbowed her and her face lit up.
"I swear, I sound more like my best friend Lucy right now than--" Allie's eyes widened and she cussed under her breath.
"What?" Zayn crinkled his eyebrows.
"Lucy! Crap, I forgot about Lucy. She's waiting for me to get out of the freaking bathroom." Allie's green eyes were wide as diamonds.
"No worries, love. We'll have her sent back. What's her seat number?" Louis asked. He picked up a tube of lipstick that was sitting near his foot, and I can tell that he was thinking about doing something with it. I nudged him, trying to get him to settle down, but he just grinned at me.
Allie chuckled nervously. "I didn't know I was supposed to know."
"It's alright. We'll have someone go back and get 'er," Louis chuckled. He dropped the tube of lipstick onto his brown Toms.
"I should probably go too...so she doesn't freak out." Allie looked sheepish. Honestly, her friend couldn't be that bad. We've seen so much worse.
"Sounds good. We'll have Preston take you." Liam sat up and brushed the crumbs off his lap. "Ariel's going to kill me," he muttered under his breath, grinning as the crumbs scattered over the white carpet. Liam and Allie headed towards the door, and as Liam left, he shot us a look, obviously saying, "don't say anything interesting until I get back."
Of course, the second the two of them left, the other three instantly shot questions toward me.
"How do you know her?"
