"Good afternoon class, so let's start." panimula samin ni maam Aileen.
Last subject na namin at mag-eexperiment nga kami ngayon.
"Performing physics experiment. Before starting a physics experiment, there are some basic principles that need to be taken into consideration. An experiment needs to be set up and analyzed in a very precise fashion to yield meaningful results. Planning in advance will help get results which prove or disprove the hypothesis in question. So, today we're going to find out how surface tension works on needle. Ilabas nyo na 'yung mga pinadala kong materials. 1) Fork as variant one, 2) piece of tissue paper as variant two, 3) sewing needle, 4) glass fullof water. Nasa book na yung procedure. Kayo nang bahala." pakasabi samin nun ni maam Aileen ay agad na kaming nagsimula.
"Okay, so let's start." sabi ko sa mga kagroup ko tsaka sinimulang basahin 'yung procedure sa book.
"Pano kaya gagawin 'yung experiment eh hindi naman nya tinuro.. Tss!" narinig kong sabi ni Kurt.
Yes. Kagroup ko nga si Kurt. Actually, Lima kami. 'Yung seating arrangement na lang 'yung pinagbasehan ni maam Aileen sa groupings para daw di na lumilipat pa ng upuan.
So, bali kami nila Irene, Cass, Kurt at si Jayvee.
"Eh kaya nga may procedure sa book diba? Try mo ding magbasa Kurt, masama din 'yung sobrang tamad. Kasi kung ituturo yan ni maam Aileen edi wala na tayong ginawa? Kaya nga experiment diba? We'll going to discover it by ourselves." sabi ko sa kanya. Kahit kelan talaga napakatamad. Tss!
"Oo na." sagot nya naman. Hindi ko nalang sya pinansin at binaling nalang ang tingin kila Irene.
"So, here's the first step for the variant one trick." panimula ko. "Place the needle on the fork, gently lowering it into the glass of water."
Irene do what I say.
"Next, Carefully pull the fork out, and it is possible to leave the needle floating on the surface of the water." si Cass naman ang gumawa nung sinabi ko.
After Cass did the last step, sabay-sabay kaming tumingin dun sa glass of water. Just to observe it.
"So, anong nakikita nyo? Wala kasi talaga kong makita eh." agad na tanong ni Kurt. Hays! Bakit ba ko nagkaroon ng kagrupong gaya ni Kurt? -__-
"You don't see anything because you don't take it seriously." sabi ko sa kanya.
Jayvee cleared his throat.
Dahilan para mapatingin kami sa kanya.
"So, this is my observation. When Cassandra carefully pull the fork out, we all saw that the needle float but it's supposed to be sink. So, talagang may trick na ginamit dito, di ko lang alam kung ano 'yun." jayvee said.
Well, he's right. I was about to say it too.
"I can't figured it out too but the trick requires a real steady hand and some practice, because you must remove the fork in such a way that portions of the needle do not get wet ..... or the needle will sink. You can rub the needle between your fingers beforehand to ‘oil’ it increase your success chances." sabi ko naman.
"Well said." nakangiting sabi ni Irene sakin. I smiled at her too.
"So, ano na nga 'yung tircks na ginamit ditey?" tanong naman ni Cass.
