Leila POV

After driving a few miles, a small house caught my eye. I drove up to it and pulling in front of the closed garage. I turned the car off and the three of us got out. I scanned the area and sighed, going into my backpack I pulled out a pistol.

"You know how to use this?", I asked Jungkook and he slowly nodded.

"It has a silencer so you won't make a lot of noise. You shoot only when the infected get to close.", I instructed.

"What about people?", Kreme questioned and I sighed.

"Check to see if they're a threat. They get hostile you shoot.", I said before walking up to the house. The door was slightly ajar so I pushed softly.

I checked the lock and confirmed it was still intact before making my way through the kitchen and living room. Once I saw it was clear a thump echoed from upstairs. I held my crossbow up as I stalked up the stairs checking each bedroom. Dead bodies of the infected scattered throughout the hall.

Another thump was heard and I looked towards the master bedroom. I stepped carefully over the bodies before I accidentally stepped on an arm, emitting a loud crack. Whoever of whatever is up here surely knows I'm here now so I had to make my move. I pushed the door open only to be tacked to the ground, causing me to drop my weapon. I kicked my assailant before drawing my knife and swinging in his direction. I cut his arm and he punched me in the face knocking me to floor. The attacker pinned me to the floor and I struggled to get up.

"You been bit?", he asked and I scoffed.

"If I was I'd be dead by now.", I replied and he moved off of me.

"Sorry, thought you were one of the crazy ones.", he said holding out his hand.

"I wouldn't let myself get that far in the infection.", I replied taking his extended hand to and he chuckled.

"Haven't changed Leila." He commented walking away.

"How do you know my name?", I asked as it dawned on me.

Once I caught my breath his removed his masked to reveal Lee Suhoon.

"Suhoon?"

"The one and only I guess.", he said and I remained lost for words.

"You alone?"

"No. I have two outside. Need to move the car in the garage for the night.", I replied and he shook his head.

"They infected?", he asked and I shook my head no.

"They're just kids.", I said and he sighed.

"Alright I'll go open the garage.", he said walking past me. Once downstairs I opened the front door and told Jungkook to pull the car in. The garage door closed behind them and I shut the front door before locking it.

"I'm gonna put up barricade in front of the door. Both front and back.", I announced standing the dinner table up on its side in front of the door. Jungkook walked in and helped me nail the door.

"Where did you all come from?", Suhoon asked.

"Oh shit!", Jungkook shouted, aiming his gun at Suhoon.

"It's alright. He friendly.", I said walking to the back door.

"Nowhere really a couple of miles.", Kreme stated. "She saved our lives."

"Suprised she didn't leave you behind.", he mumbled and I scoffed.

"I'm not doing this right now.", I stated. "Instead of trying to be a smartass why don't you go get rid of those bodies upstairs."

He shrugged his shoulders and walked upstairs while I ran a hand through my hair.

"What was that about?", Kreme asked and I waved her off. "It's nothing."

I lit the fireplace with a lighter so that Kreme and Jungkook could get some heat throughout the night. Once I was done setting some blankets on the floor them, Suhoon came back downstairs and went to the back door. I followed behind him as the two teens for comfortable on the floor.

"Smoking is bad for you.", I said, spotting the white stick between his lips.

"Hasn't killed me yet.", he stated and I sighed, leaning on a nearby wall.

"Maybe it won't be what kills you.", I replied.

"But you're a doctor now right?", he retorted blowing smoke.

"I said earlier I didn't want to do this.", I told him.

"Do what? You came back here to talk to me, I didn't drag you here."

"Yeah because you were being an asshole. That comment you made, the fuck was thst suppose to mean?", I whispered trying not to bother the sleeping pair.

"You should know what it means Leila. We had everything planned out and you just up and leave."

"I had a full ride to one of the best medical schools in the country. What? Was I suppose to just turn them down. Becoming a doctor was my dream and you knew that!", I snapped.

"If I had known you were gonna disappear I would've taken those therapy sessions."

"Suhoon-"

"You knew what I was dealing with and you left. The only person I could lean on, left me with my own despair.", he said and I remained silent.

"I tried to stay in contact with you but everytime I called, your roommate said you were out with some girl. And with me having to go straight into grad school when I graduated, I figured you had found a way cope without me being there.", I explained and he tossed his cigarette out a small hole in the window.

"I didn't. It was just a simple escape."

"I didn't know you felt that way.", I whispered and he sighed.

"Well now you know.", he said softly and I walked back to the living room taking my place on the couch. I couldn't help but feel bad about the entire situation. A few tears rolled down my cheeks so I laid down deciding to get some sleep.
