You gently closed the door to your shared room, in an attempt to lessen the sound of your brand new electric guitar.  The electric guitar Jack gave you as a birthday present.  You marveled at it as it simply leaned against the wall.  You smiled, feeling all giddy inside.  To say you excited was an understatement, you were fucking ecstatic.  You set up the amplifier and laid the guitar on the bed.  "Y/N?" Jack called from downstairs.  You sighed, opening the door and jogging down the stairs.

"Yeah?" you asked, seeing all the boys watching Daniel and Jonah play 2k17.

"We're gonna order a pizza for dinner, is that okay?" Jack asked.

"Yeah, you know I could've cooked something instead of spending money," You offered.

"You cooked yesterday," Zach objected.  "You need to learn to treat yourself."

"Easier said than done," Jack smiled.  You exhaled, shaking your head.

"Well, I'm gonna be upstairs, if you hear the guitar, it's just me," you stated, heading back upstairs.  You slipped the strap on and settled down on the bed.  Hesitantly, you started playing, growing more and more confident as you played.  Instinctively you began playing one of your favorite rock songs, Long Cool Woman (In A Black Dress).  You were so engrossed in the song, you didn't hear the boys come to listen outside of the door.

"Holy crap," Jonah murmured.  Jack smiled.  When the song ended, Jack cracked up the door to get a video of you as you started to play another song.  Paranoid, by Black Sabbath.  Jack could sense how deep you were in that song, how focused.

"She's good, like really good," Zach whispered.

"My girl's good at everything," Jack smirked.  They kept listening until you were finished to bust in.  "Babygirl, you're amazing, how long have you been practicing those songs?" Jack asked, grinning ear to ear.

"When you had to go to the studio and stuff, basically when I was alone," you shrugged.

"That was amazing," Jonah smiled.

"Thanks Johna," you laughed.  "I can't believe you stopped playing 2k to listen to me, I'm not that good."

"Y/N, please, I've been on American Idol, trust me when I say it's good," Daniel corrected.  You smiled at the comment.

"Thanks guys, so when's the pizza coming?" you asked.

"Play another song and it might be here in time," Jack smirked.  He knew you were shy when it came to your guitar skills.  "Maybe sing a bit, make time pass faster."

"Fine," you relented.  You replaced your electric guitar with your acoustic one.  You started playing Believer, by Imagine Dragons.  "First things first, imma say all the words inside my head, I'm fired up and tired of the way things have been, oh, oh.  The way that things have been oh, oh. Second things, second don't tell me what you think that I could be.  I'm the one with the sail, I'm the master of my sea, oh, oh.  The master of my sea, oh, oh," you sang.  The five boys sat down on the floor, listening.  "I was broken from a young age, taking my sulking to the masses.  Writing my poems for the few that look at me, took to me, shook to me, feeling me.  Singing my heartache from the pain.  Taking my message to the veins, speaking my lesson from the brain, seeing the beauty through the... pain!"

"I don't get why she's so shy," Corbyn murmured.

"You made me a, you made me a believer, believer.  Pain!  you break me down, you build me up, believer, believer.  Pain!  Oh let the bullets fly oh let them rain.  My life, my love, my drive, it came from... pain!  Third things, third, send a prayer to the ones up above.  All the hate that you've heard has turned your spirit to a dove, oh, oh.  Your spirit up above, oh, oh.  I was choking in a crowd, building my rain up in the cloud.  Falling like ashes to the ground, hoping my feelings, they would drown.  But they never did, ever lived, ebbing and flowing, inhibited, limited.  Till it broke open and rained down, you rained down like... Pain," you went on.  "You made me a, you made me a believer, believer.  Pain!  You break me down, you build me up believer, believer.  Pain!  Oh let the bullets fly, oh let them rain.  My life, my love, my drive, it came from... Pain!  You made me a, you made me a believer, believer-"

"Dang it, the pizza's here," Zach groaned, hearing the doorbell.  You set down your guitar and followed the boys down.

"I can't believe you had to stop because of pizza!" Jack grumbled.  You chuckled.

"I love you," you murmured.

"I love you too," he replied, kissing you deeply, pulling away to glare at Zach who screamed, nearly dropping the pizza.
