You were so engrossed in your book you weren't watching were you going until it was too late. You bumped into someone, dropping your book and losing your page. "Crap, I'm so sorry," he apologized.
"Oh no, it was my fault, I'm such a klutz," you grinned. He bent down to pick up the book you were reading.
"Huh, Chronicles of Narnia, ever read Harry Potter?" he asked, taking a sip of his Starbucks coffee. You grinned widely.
"Only read each book like six times," you shrugged.
"I've read them seven times," he winked. You blushed.
"Now I wonder what you do with your life to have the time to read them seven times," you teased. He smiled.
"My name's Jonah Marais," Jonah introduced himself.
"Marais... that sounds familiar," you said. "I'm Y/N Y/L/N."
"I'm in a band," Jonah grinned.
"Nice, I'm a writer, I'm actually on my way to the library. How about you?" you asked.
"Just got some coffee, figured I'd go for a stroll in LA, would you be opposed to me joining you?"
"Absolutely not," you grinned.
"So you write, what else?" he asked.
"I do a little dancing here and there, I sing a bit also," you replied. "And you're in a band?"
"Why Don't We, so what do you write about?" he asked, taking a another sip from his coffee. The two of you talked, nonstop.
"I write fanfictions, fantasy, realistic fiction, though I don't do much of suspense or sci-fi," you shrugged.
"Fanfictions huh, I wouldn't be surprised if there were any about me and my friends," Jonah chuckled. You raised an eyebrow at him.
"There are like tons of fanfics about you WDW boys, written by fangirls for other fangirls," you laughed.
"Oh boy, do I even wanna see them?" he smiled. You traced the spine of the books on the shelves absentmindedly. "What are you looking for?"
"Anything, anything that pops out, I need inspiration, my music isn't cutting it," you answered.
"Music?"
"Yeah, I listen to music as inspiration, but lately, it hasn't been helping. Like I need a love song, but... even though there are tons of love songs... they don't help, so I'm turning to books," you tore your focus away from to books to look at him.
"I can help," he pulled out his phone and earphones. "Trust me, now tell me what kind of love song, like a heartbreak one or a budding love one?"
"Any relationship trouble ones?" you asked hopefully.
"Yeah, what kind of troubles? The insecurities or the trust problems?" He grinned.
"Trust," you replied. He scrolled through his phone and offered an earphone to you. You took it and held it to your ear. He hit play held the phone up so you could see what was playing. A song called Runner was playing and you fell in love with it. "Holy fuck! This is perfect! Oh my gosh, thanks, your song is amazing I don't know how I've never heard this before!" you smiled.
"How'd you know?" Jonah asked, tilting his head.
"I recognized your voice," you shrugged. "This song is perfect, thanks."
"So, may I have your phone number?" he asked. You nodded, telling him your number as he typed it in. He told you he'd call you and left with a wink. Who knew knocking into someone would have such a good outcome?
