::Serenity::
An hour had passed since I had been in the car with Jacob. I never realized how far Malcolm lived until someone else drove me. It was quiet the entire time, but no tension seemed to be there, of any kind that is. Everything felt peaceful and calm, surprisingly. I couldn't help but feel a bit out of place, not knowing where Jacob's head was or what he was thinking about. I steady looked at him from the side of my eye, my finger began to tap on the arm of the seat. I just couldn't think of anything to say, on the count of my being timid. Suddenly the car had stopped, not quite at the destination but on the side of the road where Malcolm's house was right around the corner. I turned to look at Jacob, he staring straight at me already.
"What are you doing?" I asked.
"I stopped the car because you haven't said more than a sentence since we've been in this car." He stated.
"That's because I don't know what to say, it's been a while since we've been alone with no one else around us." I explained.
"What makes you so timid Serenity? I haven't hurt you at all since we've been placed back into this world and I don't intend on doing that. You're with Malcolm, but have I went crazy? No. So there's no reason to be scared of someone you have known for so long. I know what has happened Serenity but I'm doing my best to be...normal." Jacob explained.
"Jacob you have to stop saying that. No one in this world is normal and it shows. You're fine just the way you are. I don't know why I'm so timid all the time now honestly, it's just anxiety I guess." I explained.
"I'm fine just the way I am, to you, really?" He asked.
I turned to look straight into his eyes. "Yes. I mean that." I said.
"This is why I love you, you've never truly judged me as if I was a monster." Jacob said.
"That's because you're not a monster, we're as human as the next man or woman. We're going to be okay Jacob." I said.
"I love you Serenity." He said staring at me as if he were trying to take ahold of my spirit. He reached his hand over, touching my chin and leaning over, he kissed my cheek with his plush lips. I closed my eyes taking in this moment. I truly didn't want it to end.
"Jacob, I don't want to go home just yet." I said softly.
"Why?" He asked.
"Well, because I saw an ice cream shop like ten minutes up the road and I really want some orange sherbet." I explained.
He chuckled and kissed my cheek again. "Okay beautiful, let's go get you some ice cream." He smiled and turned around heading to the shop I saw.
"Thank you Jacob. I'm sorry my thoughts are every which place." I giggled a little.
"It's fine. I understand the feeling all too well asides from wanting ice cream this late." He said continuing to smile.
"Don't make fun of me, I just started craving it." I smiled.
"Yeah, yeah." He said.
He pulled up into the drive through, he ordered my craving and handed it to me, paying for it shortly after. The ice cream was placed in a cute, round, medium size container, I immediately dug into it once I saw the sight of it. I hadn't eaten orange sherbet in a while so why I was eating it right now, I had no clue and it came out of oddness to me.
"Thank you so much again Jacob." I said, giving his hand a light squeeze.
"No problem beautiful, it's almost 2:30. Malcolm isn't going to be worried is he?" Jacob asked suddenly.
