Melanie's POV:
Holy shit. The movie was scary. The whole time I was clinging to Josh and I shoved my face into his arm.
"This is really scary." I whispered to him. He just rubbed my head.
"Yeah, I know."
"Can we leave?" I whispered again.
"On a scale of 1-10 how much do you want to leave?" I thought about it.
"12."
"Okay, let's go." We both stood up and went into the movie theater lobby.
"You want some candy?" He asked. I nodded.
"Skittles preferably." He nodded. I wiped my cheek because I noticed I had been crying from how scared I was. Then a girl with orangish brownish hair came up to me.
"Hey why you crying? You some kind of crybaby?" She made some kind of whiny face at me when she said crybaby.
"No."
"Did little Joshy leave you?" I looked up.
"H-h-how d-do you know his n-name?" She laughed.
"W-w-well," she laughed at the mockery of me "I'm his ex girlfriend." She smirked.
"Okay." Then Josh came back.
"Debby, what are you doing here?"
"So you're all of a sudden dating a crybaby instead of me?" There was that damned word again. Crybaby.
"First of all we aren't dating. Second of all I would rather date her than a girl like you." She seemed a little offended.
"And what's that supposed to mean?"
"I'd rather date a Melanie Martinez than a spoiled little rat."
"Well this spoiled little rat has a message for you." She stepped up to him. I just realized she had a pop in her hand. Yeah, she threw it in his face.
"Goodbye Josh, have fun with your little crybaby." She winked at me and started walking away.
"I'll get some napkins for you." I said quietly.

Josh's POV:
Melanie fell asleep on the car ride home. I just parked in front of my house and carried her. We were in her yard when I heard her mumble the words.
"Can I stay with you at your house?"
"Mel, your house is right here."
"But I like holding onto you." I don't know why but I was happy to hear that.
"Sure Mel, you can stay with me."
"Thanks." She nuzzled her head into my chest further.
