Chapter 7

It has been three months rumors of Michael having a relationship surfaces. I open up the article to see what picture they managed to get of us except it is not a picture of me. Michael is kissing another girl and the date on the picture was a couple of days ago when he had an errand he had to run. I lock the door between mine and the boys' room then I head out. I refuse to be anywhere around to hear anymore of Michael's lies until I can get my mask firmly back in place. I refuse to let him know how much his betrayal hurt me.

I ignore all phone calls from the boys. I am sitting in an all night dinner working on a project I have due in three weeks. I spend all night working there. I finally turn my phone off to get some peace.

I have checked every coffee shop and dinner in the area. I have been looking for you all night Ashton says sitting down across from me.

I needed to work. You found me what do you need I ask?

You haven't seen anything that would upset you?

Nope unless you are talking about that backstabbing son of a bitch then yes I saw that. Michael can do what ever he wants to do. We are done when he lied about where he was going. The kiss was the last nail in the coffin.

How are you going to handle working with us?

The same way I have been. I will keep your asses out of trouble. And that is the extent of our relationship.

You can't pull away from all of us for something Michael did.

I will do whatever is necessary to get through this in one piece Ashton. I am a survivor and I always will be. Now if you will excuse me I am on a deadline, and I need to get back to work.

I need to really kick Michael's ass.

Leave him alone he made his choice and I have made mine.

Ashton's phone rings. Hello.

What the hell is going on? Do you know anything Wren won't answer my phone calls and everyone here is pissed at me?

You are an asshole Ashton says hanging up on Michael.

Don't let this break you up. You are too good of a band for it to end this way.

We will be okay and I am going to make sure that you are too.

I have been through worse Ashton I will be fine. Now let me get back to work. I watch Ashton leave before turning my phone back on and calling Cody.

I saw the articles are you okay sis?

I need a huge favor. I can't be around him right now can you take my place for the rest of the tour.

I have already talked to Der. I am on my way and you have a flight to catch. I will be there in about forty-five minutes. Start packing I will get you to the airport on time.

I am at an all night dinner right now. Come get my card key. Just pack up my stuff and have it shipped to your house. I will pick up what ever I need once I get where I am going. So where exactly am I going?

You are heading to Australia for the next two weeks. Then you can go where ever you heart desires. You never have to see that asshole again unless you want to.

There is a shopping center close to the airport. We have time to make a quick stop for you the essentials.

You just missed her she left with some guy about ten minutes ago a waitress tells Ashton.

No I don't make it a habit of eaves dropping.

Thanks Ashton says with a defeated slump of his shoulders. A phone call from Derrick telling them Wren was being replaced ruined the rest of the day, and it was all Michaels fault.

Did you find her Calum and Luke ask together with hope in their eyes.

She had already left. Where's Michael?

He went to look for her too. I told him not to waste his time. He didn't listen. This is not like Michael. He has never cheated on a girl. It has always been the other way around. We need to get him talking and find out what is really going on.

Your right Luke Ashton says it is not like Michael. All we can do is wait for him to come back.

Did Derrick say who would be replacing Wren?

Her brother Luke Michael is in for one hell of a ride Ashton says.

And he deserves it if he really did screw over Wren.

I didn't screw her over. The girl cornered me and kissed me before I could stop her. I was looking at a promise ring for Wren. I wanted her to know that one day I would legally make her mine. I didn't know a picture was taken, and I didn't know how to tell Wren what happened.

You are going to have to plead your case with her brother and hope that you can make him believer you. He will know where she is headed since they are so close.

Yeah I found the perfect ring. I was going to ask you guys to help me set up the perfect date to give it to her.

She has been hurt so much. You have your work cut out for you a voice says from the door connecting the rooms.
