*my fav so far!!!*
being the Winchester sister and Jaspers mate.
The impala rumbled to a stop right outside 'The Lodge.' You grimaced at the worn looking building, the crackling 'OPEN' light in the window giving you a hint of how many years it had been since it was first hung.
You got out of the car, inhaling the fresh air around you. The town you were in was a place called Forks, somewhere in the middle of Asstown, Washington. The place was literally a bunch of trees and dirt. Luckily you were only passing through.
A hand came down on your shoulder, causing you to jump in surprise. You looked up to see your oldest brother grinning down at you. "Well Y/N, let's get some grub so we can get back on the road." You nodded at Dean and looked to Sam, who shot you a small smile.
The three of you walked up the steps and into the diner, immediately getting hit with the scent of burgers and peach cobbler. You could see Dean grinning from the corner of your eye. He's always a sucker for burgers and baked desserts.
The Lodge was mostly empty, save for an older man and a young brunette girl. From the look of the man he seemed pretty laid back. Is that a badge? Your eyes narrowed in on his jacket, which had a badge that read 'Forks Chief of Police.' Funny. I didn't think they'd need police in his rat hole of a town.
Sam and Dean led you to a table in the back corner of the diner, a place that had a view of the whole room. Rule number one of being a hunter: Always be aware of your surroundings.
The three of you sat at the booth, picking up some menus with faded pictures on the side. "How much you wanna bet these things are older than Crowley?" You murmured with a small grin. You couldn't be too loud since the diner was exceptionally quiet. You'd hate to have to leave due to disrespecting the workers.
Sam and Dean laughed and looked over their own menus. "I think you might be right." Sam commented as he ran his finger over the flimsy material.
The door opened and out of instinct the three of you inconspicuously looked up to survey the newcomer. He seemed to be a teen male with exceptionally large bronze hair. He was good looking, but not someone you would look at twice.
The brunette girl stood and walked toward the teen male, much to the chief's dismay. I guess he doesn't like being around someone who looks like he uses too much hairspray. You thought with a smirk.
The boy looked up and immediately locked eyes with you. That was when you, Dean, and Sam got into hunter mode. The boy was no boy. He was a vampire.
He seemed to stiffen and he looked back down to the girl. His lips moved quickly and you could only assume he was telling her something. The girl nodded and looked to the chief. "Bye dad, I'll see you tonight." The teens rushed out of the diner without another word.
You exchanged a look with your brothers and nodded. You had all seen what happened and now you had to go save that girl. From what your father wrote in his journal, vamps with gold eyes were animal drinkers. But it was better to be safe than sorry.
"We should go check them out." You murmured. Sam shook his head. "We have to get more information first. We don't know what's going on with them."
Dean slammed his hand down on the table, startling the lady wiping down the bar. "Sam did you not see that? The vamp has the chief's girl wrapped around his finger! We need to go now. We can scope them out when we find them." Sam glared at Dean, not keen on his concept of 'shoot first, ask questions later.' Neither were you, but you didn't want to lose that girl to a bunch of vamps.
Who the hell willingly associated with leeches anyway? After asking around the town, you found out that the vampires were called 'The Cullens.' They actually acted like normal humans. The kids went to school, they lived in a house, hell the head vamp was actually a doctor at the hospital in town!
Something just didn't add up.
Dean drove up the gravel path to the vamp nest. The three of you were armed with everything you could think of. Demon blade for you and Sam, and a gun with titanium bullets for Dean. It was extremely hard to kill vamps of this breed, but it wasn't impossible.
The house was within walking distance now. "Son of a bitch, these vamps must be loaded." Dean commented. You hated to admit it, but the house was gorgeous. It was the kind of home that most people saw when they thought of the apple pie life. Something that neither you nor your brothers would ever have. Not with the hunter's life anyway.
The impala came to a halt and you all exchanged a brief nod before getting out. You knew that the vamps had to be waiting for you, they had exceptional hearing after all. "Are we supposed to walk up and ring the doorbell?" Dean questioned awkwardly. This was possibly the most civil vamp nest you had encountered, so it was only natural that he'd feel strange about it.
Sam shrugged and walked up to the front door, you and Dean trailing behind him. "Ring the bell Sam." You nudged his side. Before he could though, a woman opened the door with a wide smile. "Hello. You must be the Winchesters."
The three of you tensed up and immediately went on the defensive. "How do you know our names?" Dean demanded. He never cared how rude he sounded, even to monsters that could kill him within a second. Goddammit Dean.
The teen boy, Edward (as you now knew him thanks to some chatty teenage girl), stepped up next to the woman. "I informed my family of your arrival. I can read minds. I know why you're here and we can assure you that I will not hurt Bella."
Dean narrowed his eyes. "Yeah well maybe you won't, but what about the rest of your nest?" Sam shot him a glare and sighed. "What he means is, we understand that you get your... nutrition from animals, but we'd feel a little better knowing that... Bella will be safe with all of you. It's in our nature." Sam flashed a friendly smile, always being the kinder one. One can get too kind yanno. Edward raised an eyebrow at you. "If you don't like my thoughts, get outta my head." You muttered.
There was a loud guffaw from inside the house. You almost forgot that all of them could hear you. "Eddie, are you going to bring them in or what?" Called a male voice from inside. Edward sighed and pinched the bridge of his nose. "My family is waiting. Please come in."
You exchanged looks with your brothers and nodded again. This could be a trap, but you'd all prefer to think positively. You went inside first, your brothers not far behind.
Edward led you to the living room where seven other people were waiting. There was only one human, Bella. She was standing next to a short girl whose smile gave you the creeps. She looked too happy. What the hell could she possibly be happy about?
"That's Alice. She likes meeting new people." Edward answered your unspoken thought. You glared at the mind reader, not at all pleased with the invasion of privacy. "If you want to be on good terms you're going to have to learn to cut that out."
The same booming laugh from before came from the biggest vamp in the room. The guy was at least an inch or two taller than Sam, which didn't make you feel good about the situation at all. Even though his body seemed threatening, his face radiated playfulness. "You're a funny human. I think we'll get along just fine."
Dean scoffed and took a step in front of you, ever the overprotective older brother. "Sorry to say, but once we're done here we're skipping town. We have a case to handle." He glared at the larger vampire.
A hiss came from another vampire, a handsome honey blond that was now glaring at Dean. "Hey, keep your kin on a leash." You snapped at Edward. If there was one thing that ran in the Winchester blood, it was that family was to be protected at all costs. You weren't going to allow some vamp to muscle in on your brothers.
The blonde then looked at you, his face softening. The dazed expression on his face didn't go unnoticed by the rest of the vamps in the room. "Don't tell me. Don't say it." An exceptionally gorgeous blonde vamp growled.
Alice nodded and grinned. "Yeah Rose. Y/N is Jasper's mate." The room went silent as you processed this information. Mate? She did not just say mate. I am a leech's mate? I... a leech. Vampire. Drinks blood. We hunt them. I'VE BEHEADED AT LEAST FIFTEEN VAMPS IN MY LIFETIME! This cannot be happening.
You dared to look up at your brothers to see their faces painted with horror. Their mouths were wide open and they kept looking back and forth between each other and 'Jasper.' "This isn't possible. You're joking right?" You looked at all of the vampires, hoping that the largest one would say 'this is all a prank! You can wake up in the backseat of the impala now!'
None of them did.
"Do you all realize what my brothers and I do? We kill things like you. We have people to save and things to hunt. I can't stay here and be with someone that I would be hunting under any other circumstance!" You tried to reason. Of course you knew your words held little meaning.
From what you read in your father's journal, some monsters have a concept of mates. There's one mate for each of those monsters. You just never thought you'd be one of them.
You looked at your brothers, who were still just as shell shocked as you were. You knew that you were all thinking the same thing at that moment.
"I need a drink."
