Chapter 70

Chapter 70: (Eminem's Point of View!!)

 After the nurses put Helena to sleep with the injection I went outside to the hallway. I kneeled down on the wall and put my head on my knees. I just broke down. I tried to be strong for Helena but I can’t. Our baby is gone. I can’t believe this. What did we do to deserve this? Helena's right... What are we supposed to do? How is Helena going to go through the pain of giving birth and not come home with our baby? At this point I hated God. Why would he do this!? Why would he take our baby? I just sat in the hallway and cried. I cried in till someone tapped my shoulder. I raise my bead and saw Dre. He extended his hand out and helped me up. He hugged me. I just cried.

"Marshall. I am sorry. I am here for you and Helena okay." Dre said. I couldn't even say anything.

 "I know your hurt Marshall but you have to be strong. Be strong for Helena." Dre said.

"I know, I know! It’s just so hard. How am I suppose to help Helena? How do I tell her family? How do I tell my girls that there baby brother or sister will never come home?" I said through my tears.

 "Marshall I know it’s hard… But you have to be strong. I am here. I will always be here for the both of you. Do you hear me?" Dre said.

 "Yeah." I quietly said. I sat there with Dre in till Dr.Haress came back.

 "Marshall we have to get the baby out. We have no other choice but to do a C-section due to Helena's state. She’s really weak and delicate right now." Dr.Haress explained to me.

"Is she going to be okay though?" I asked her.

 "She won't feel a thing and she will be awake." She replied.

 An hour passed by and it was time. They made me change into hospital scrubs and then i was on my way to the C-section room. Helena was already there. They had already numbed her lower body.

"Marshall." She quietly said as she looked up at me.

 "I am here. Don't worry. We’re going to get through this Helena." I told her. I was trying so hard to hold back my tears.

 "Okay we are ready." Dr.Haress said.

 "Okay." Helena quietly said.

 While they were doing everything Helena kept her eyes on me. She was crying so much. What felt like 15 minutes passed by.

 "Marshall. Do you want to see your baby?" The doctor asked me.

I am seriously scared too. At first I did not want to see my baby but this is my baby. The baby me and Helena hoped so much for.

"Yeah." I said.

 I slowly walked over to a little incubator. The baby was clean and wrapped in a blanket. The nurse picked up the baby and gently put her in my arms.

"I am really sorry sir." The nurse said.

 "Is it a boy or girl?" I asked her. Tears were already rolling down my face. I wiped them away.

 "It’s a baby girl." The nurse said.

It just broke my heart. Helena felt it was a girl. My Madelyn. I looked down at her. She looked like she was simply sleeping. She had Helena's hair color and her long eye lashes. She looked nothing like me. Which I was glad of. I started crying like crazy when I remembered about Helena.  I handed Madelyn to the nurse and went to go see Helena.

"Was it a girl or boy?" She asked me when she saw me. A tear rolled down her cheek.

"It’s... It’s Madelyn." I slowly said. Right when I said that Helena covered her face with her hands and started crying so much.

"Helena... Helena. I am sorry. I am here. I am not going to leave you." I said as I grabbed her hands. Dr.Haress came in.

"I am sorry. It seems like the cause of death was that the cord was wrapped around the babies’ neck. I am so sorry again. We can keep the baby’s body for 3 days in till you can get a funeral arranged or we can cremate the baby here." The doctor explained.

 "No we are going to have a funeral." I quickly said.

"Okay. Would Helena like to see her baby?" She asked.

"No. No." Helena said crying.

 Dr.Haress nodded then walked away. After Helena was good they transferred her back to her room. She slowly fell asleep as I stayed up the whole night crying.
