Percy POV~

I didn't exactly know how to respond. Should I say yes and expose myself as a demigod? Or lie? So I did the only smart thing I could think of at the moment.

"Hold on a sec. I need to do something real quick." I put my phone down and ran across the hall to Annabeth's room. "Annabeth!!" I whisper/yelled while quietly tapping on the door.

"What? Why are you whispering?" She asked as she joined me in the hallway.

"Dick asked if I'm a demigod and I don't know how I should respond! He's still on the phone in my room!" I whispered, urgently. Her eyes widened and we rushed into my room. She pointed for me to pick up the phone, so I did.

"Ok. I'm back!" I waited for Annabeth to tell me what to say to him. She went over to my desk, grabbed a pen and paper, and wrote in greek.

"Okay? I know it sounds ridiculous but it makes perfect sense when you think about it. You-"

"Yeah. Yeah, I get it. Uh," I quickly read what she wrote. Τον εμπιστεύεσαι; Πες του την αλήθεια. Είναι εντάξει. I gave her a questioning glance and she nodded. "Yes. To answer your question, I mean. I am a demigod. Daughter of Poseidon."

"I am so surprised it took me so long to figure that out." He said with a small laugh.

"Yeah. Me too. So much for the protege of the world's greatest detective," I said with hints of laughter in my voice. Annabeth had left my room with a knowing smile on her face. I wonder what that was for?

"Hey! At least I figured it out!" Dick exclaimed, breaking me out of my short thoughts.

"Uh huh." I said, sarcastically.

"That's not fair!" He sounded like a whining child. I couldn't help but laugh.

"Sure it is. I let you figure it out." He scoffed at my response.

"Of course you did. You totally didn't freak out when I asked." I could practically hear his eyes roll. I laughed at  him again.

We ended up talking for hours, mostly him asking about demigod stuff, before calling it a night. I was exhausted and decided to just go to sleep right away. Unfortunately, it wasn't peaceful.

************

This dream was strange. Normally, demigod dreams were of the future, present, or past and they were clear, like watching a movie. This was just flashes. Flashes of people, monsters, blood. A lot of it was blood. There were some words but not enough to make sense of it. One of the flashes was more of a scene. I saw a man in a blue and black spandex costume with black hair and a domino mask, much like Dick's. Next to the man was a woman with long, wavy black hair and leather armor with waves engraved in the chest.

I love you, said the woman, who I've now recognised as myself. Our voices were too similar for it to be anyone else.

I love you, too, the man replied. His voice was a little familiar but I couldn't identify it. Then, the man and I kissed. A deep, passionate kiss.

None of the dream made sense. But in the end, everything stopped on a wall. Their were words painted in red paint.

Or blood, I thought. I couldn't quite make out what it said, dyslexia and all, but something was coming. I don't know how far off in the future, but it's definitely coming.
