"Why are you just coming now?" Dr. Pandas asked me with a slight irritation in her voice.
"Hm let me see, no health insurance, no doctor, impossible to get appointments, I didn't know, and fear." I said and held up another finger after each reason.
"I didn't know someone who's dying could have an attitude." She said with more irritation. Her behavior is somewhat understandable, knowing she doesn't know the real reason why I have the disease. And I'm not about to tell her either.
"I didn't know a doctor could act that way towards a patient."
She stared at me with dislike for a moment before she talked again.
"Well since you came in so late, there's not much we can do except prescribe this medication that may help slow...your condition...down for a few months. But it has possible side effects like; depression, cancer, heart attack, stroke, stomach problems, and death."
"Yeah, no thanks." I fake smiled. I never liked my doctors. None of them actually cared, this one is just more open about not caring.
"Anyhow, you have approximately 12 months." I had a feeling.
"Wow what an optimistic doctor I got!" I said sarcastically. "Also why is your last name Pandas?"
"Enjoy your twelve months elsewhere please." She said and pointed to the door.
"Gladly." I got up and walked out of the freezing cold doctors office.
