We got a new waiter, this one was much nicer. We told each other a ton of stories over the dinner, like how Bailey had been adopted by two moms and everyone in school assumed she'd be a lesbian because of it. And how she punched a girl in a face when she said that. "The funny thing is, they weren't wrong," she laughed. It was the best date ever.

After dinner we went to a 24 hour grocery store. We grabbed 5 cartons of eggs.

"You sure you want to do this?" I asked Bailey.

"Definitely," she declared. We put the egg cartons on the conveyor belt trying not to act suspicious. The lady behind the check out gave us a weird look but didn't say anything about it. We paid for the eggs and put them in a brown paper bag.

"Let's do this," I smiled. We walked out of the store into the night breeze. It blew our hair back and goosebumps traveled up our arms.

We arrived to a cozy one story house just after the last light went dark. We waited for a few minutes and listened to the radio.

"They have been playing this same song, like, since I've been here," I chuckled.

"Sometimes they play the same song for a year," Bailey laughed.

"Gotta love the radio," i said and changed the station. "Thank you for this."

"For what?" She asked.

"For taking me to dinner and doing this," I smiled, "no one's ever done anything like this for me before."

"Like this as in a date? Or as in no one has taken you to egg a house?" We both laughed.

"Both, actually," I looked down.

"That's crazy, I mean, who wouldn't want to take you on a date?" She said and grabbed my hand. I looked up at her and smiled.

"You're just being nice," I bit my lip.

"No, I'm serious! From the moment I met you I knew I wanted to get to know you."

"Why?" My heart started pounding.

"I can't quite explain it, there's just something different about you I guess."

"Je ne sais quoi?"

"How'd you learn that phrase?"

"Movies," I smirked. She playfully rolled her eyes.

"I mean, your black hair with a little pink in it was quite intriguing."

"Go on," I smiled.

"Oh shut up," she laughed, "I think it's time." I squeezed her hand and we got out of the car. She handed me a carton of eggs. "Let's do this."

I grabbed two eggs and threw them at the dark house, "hell yes!" I whisper yelled as they hit the front door and the roof.  I looked over at Bailey to make sure she was enjoying this too, she was.

"You seem to be liking this almost too much," I stated.

"I may or may not have been a troublemaker in high school," she whispered and threw another egg.

"Sounds hot."

"How about you?" She asked.

"I missed too much school to be a troublemaker."

"How come?"

"I just felt sick a lot I guess," I threw another egg with extra strength this time.

"Don't hit the windows too hard, if they break we're screwed," Bailey cautioned.

"Right, sorry."

We were on the third carton when a light in the house turned on.

"Shoot, run!" Bailey exclaimed. We ran to her car and Bailey sped down the street and out of sight.
