AN: hey sorry guys! I've been busier than expected, but here's your update finally.

"So, we are going to be eating in the dark," I stated.

"Exactly! Fun, right?"Bailey answered.

"Knowing me, I will trip over something. I'll probably end up eating a napkin in the dark. How do we even find our table?"

"Well, I don't think it will pitch black."

"Why did I agree to this?"

"Because you are infatuated with me," she proclaimed.

"infatuated? that's a big word," I giggled.

"Haven't you heard more is less and less is more? Like, love is a lesser word, but it means so much more."

"Hm, I guess I never thought of it like that," I noted.

We walked into a restaurant called "Dans le Noir?", meaning in the dark with a conspicuous question mark. The lights weren't turned off yet and there were a few other people waiting.

"Name?" The host greeted.

"Ross-Roe," Bailey answered. The host shook her hand and made an announcement.

"Alright, hello everybody! I will be your host for today! We'll be turning off all the lights, so I am going to need you to put your cell phones in this bag. If while dining you need to use the restroom, let us know and a waiter will guide you."

"This is starting to look like a murder mystery dinner," I whispered to Bailey. She giggled.

"Oh be quiet." We put our phones in the bag and the lights turned off. We were guided to our seats.

"Do we get to pick what we eat?" I whispered.

"I don't think so," Baily whispered back. I frowned, not realizing Bailey couldn't see me.

"I'm picky."

"Time to get out of your comfort zone then," Bailey probably said with a smirk. I couldn't see much except for outlines. I could feel Bailey's legs though.

"I'm cold," I crossed my legs. Bailey slid off her jacket and handed it to me from under the table. When I reached for it I hit my arm on the table, "Ow!" I shook my arm out and put the jacket on, "Do you see how the dark and I don't equal fun, now?"

"Get over it," Bailey said with a seemingly fake laugh. While we waited for our undisclosed meals, I tried to refrain from complaining about the dark. It was really cold and not being able to actually see anything wasn't fun. I couldn't see Bailey's reactions or what she was doing. I felt like I had to constantly make sure she was paying attention, she seemed too distracted by it being pitch black somehow. By the time the food arrived, I was starving. A waitress had placed two plates in front of us and told us the food had arrived.

"Finally," I said with, probably, a little too much exasperation.

"Jeez, Faye, it didn't take that long."

"I feel like I've been waiting for an hour!" I tried to lower my frustration since I didn't know how close the waiters were.

"Well maybe if you stopped complaining for one minute it would've gone by faster," Bailey muttered.

"I'm sorry for having an opinion!" Before Bailey could respond to me, we heard the voice of the greeter.

"How is it?" He asked.

"It's lovely!" Bailey exclaimed quickly, hoping I wouldn't be able to voice my complaints.

"Good! Let me know if you need anything," he said. We heard footsteps leaving.

"Not all opinions are necessary," Bailey said calmly. Her fork audibly started scraping her plate and picking up food. I patted around the table looking for a fork, hoping whatever I was about to eat only needed a fork to be eaten easily. I didn't want to be using a knife in the dark.

"I can't find my fork," I also said calmly.

"It should be right next to the plate."

"Well, it's not,"I said impatiently.

"Calm down, okay? I can ask a waiter," Bailey suggested. Before she did, I ran my hand along the table once more and finally felt a fork, in time for me to accidentally push it off the table. It struck the floor and a piercing clang followed.

"Of course," I sighed.

When the eating in the dark experience was finally over, I was not satisfied. The food was just okay.

"We finally do one thing that I want to do and you just have to whine about everything?" Bailey said upset when we were out of the restaurant.

"Well-" I tried to defend myself but was interrupted.

"Save it, Faye. I'm sorry you didn't have a good time. I just thought after spending all my time with you and helping you, you'd want to do something for me."

"Bailey I-" I started, but she already got into her Jeep and turned the music on.

AN part 2: hi again. whose side are you on? Do you think Faye is being inconsiderate or is Bailey overreacting?
