For The Summer

Cleveland Oklahoma

We graduated and moved into our house. Our house was located in Cleveland Oklahoma. (Our house is above). We have plenty of space and nearby schools.

Right now the boys are napping and Josh and I are sitting in silence. We are reading, and not doing much. The doorbell rings, and Josh answers it. He comes back shortly handing me a envelope. It was labeled with my name. 

He went back to reading while I opened it up. Inside was a letter. It says: "Sister, I love you very much. Felicia and I are getting married and we have a little one on its way! It is a little girl. We aren't having a wedding though. Our baby shower is in 6 months. Hope to see you there, love Kaska."

Yaay! I am going to be an aunt. "Babe, I am going to be an aunt of two babies now" I said. "That's great!" He said putting his book down. He looked at his watch. "Oh god, I am going to be late for football practice" He said jumping up. He set his book down and ran upstairs, quietly of course.

He ran down a few minutes later wearing his coaching outfit. He was a coach for the 8th grade football team. He kissed me then left. Practices lasts a while, so I kept reading. I just couldn't read over my thoughts. 

Something about both my brothers having kids made me want one even more. I wanted one for a long time now, but nobody knows. It would be cool to let Kingsley have a more blood related sibling. That then transfered my thoughts into worry.

How will we ever tell Kingsley and Jason that we aren't even their parents? When will we tell them? How will they react? My heart was racing and my hands were sweaty. I was breathing heavily, this is not good. 

I took deep breaths in and calmed down. It will happen one day, but not anytime soon. They need to be old enough to understand what had happened. I set my book on the coffee table next to the book Josh was reading and walked into the kitchen. 

I pulled the chicken out of the oven and set it on the stove. I heated all the plates and set them on the table. I put peas on our plates, corn and mashed potatoes. I poured a little gravy on the mashed potatoes and slices the chicken into thin slices. 

I set the slices on the plates and set the cups in front of the plates then set the silverware to the sides of the plates. As soon as I finished Josh walked through the door. He took off his ball cap and shoes by the door. 

He gave me a smile. I smiled back. We kissed and ran upstairs. I woke Jason up while Josh woke KIngsley up. We all went downstairs and ate dinner. After dinner the boys went to get cleaned up. They came back down and we checked to make sure they brushed their teeth. 

They had showered and gotten their pajamas on. They read then went to bed. We dont really watch t.v as you can tell. We walked into our room and got cleaned up. We both crawled into bed. We rolled over on our sides to face each other. 

"Hunny?" He asked. "Huh?" I asked. "What is wrong?" He asked. He knows me so well. "Nothing" I lied. "Yeah right, whats up?" He asked. "What happens when we tell the boys about their situation?" I asked. "Not sure, why?" He asked. "Just a thought" I said. "I know there is more" He said.

"Fine.. Have you ever wanted to get married?" I asked. "Of course" He said. "Why do you ask?"

"Because I want to get married someday" I said. "Someday soon?" He asked. I shook my head. "Anytime is fine with me" I said. He smiled. "Anything else?" He asked. I shook my head. "Go to bed then, work starts tomorrow" He said. I nodded and turned out my lamp while he turned his out. He kissed my forehead. 

"I love you" He said. "I love you too" I said. We both shut our eyes and dozed off.
