Right after the last bell rang I went out side and saw Josh and all his friends. There was Andrew who had short brown hair and brown eyes.  Zane who had hair like Marcus, but his was naturally blonde and he had blue eyes. Tristan with short golden brown hair and brown eyes.

Damian with short dark brown hair and very dark brown eyes. Mason with a soft golden hair color and soft brown eyes. Jose with shoulder length hair and brown eyes. Elijah with waist long black hair twisted in a braid and almost black eyes. Then there was Mikey. He had Martinus hair style, but golden brown and brown eyes.

I walked by the hood. "Okay, can you pop the hood?" I asked. Josh popped the hood and I looked at the oil filter. "Yeah, you need a new oil filter and new oil" I said. "Can you get it at Auto Zone?" Josh asked. "Yeah, if you want you can swing by my house and I can put it in" I said.

"Cool, what is your address?" He asked. I wrote it down on a piece of paper along with my phone number and handed it to him. "Hey look, your number is also on here" he said. I smiled and nodded. "See ya tonight" I said before walking away. I went back inside, got the twins and went home.

I changed their diapers and went to Kal's room. "Hey, can you watch the twins for like an hour tonight?" I asked. "Sure, but why?" He asked. "A boy is coming over so I can fix his car" I said. He nodded and took the twins. I walked downstairs and as soon as I hit the bottom step the doorbell rang.

I opened it and Josh stood there. I stepped out and he led me to his car which was right below Kal's window. He handed me the oil filter and the oil. I put in and we ran his car to make sure it wasn't leaking anymore.

When we confirmed it was no longer leaking Kal's window opened. He looked worried, more worried than I have ever seen. "Ky I don't know what is happening!" He said. "What do you mean?" I asked. "The baby! She is turning purple and isn't breathing!" He said. I dropped the rag and ran inside. Josh followed me. I ran my fastest upstairs and threw his door open.

By then Kasin, Kaska, Josh, Kamilah, Kek, Kakra, Keket and Kayla were all watching. I ran over to the bed and saw Kaya turning purple. Tears poured down my face as I forced her mouth open. "Call 911 now!" I yelled while sticking my finger down her throat.

"They are coming." Kasin said. I nodded and looked back I into her mouth. "Kal! What the hell did she eat?!" I asked still searching. "I don't know! She couldn't get a hold of anything at all!" He said.

I heard the ambulance. An EMT ran up with a stretcher followed by another stretcher. While one was putting Kaya on the stretcher one was trying to calm me down. I finally calmed down and she asked me a series of questions.

I answered them and then they carried Kaya down. I grabbed King and went into my room, gently putting him in his car seat then I ran downstairs and put him in the car. I saw all the neighbors out side and looking at our house in worry. I saw three faces I didn't want to see.

Marcus, Martinus and Kaeley. I looked back at everyone who was at my house. Kal look guilty as ever. I just hugged him tightly. "I'm so sorry, I don't know what she could have gotten a hold of" he said as a tear fell. I just hugged him even more.

"I'm mad and sad, but at the same time I can't be. It wasn't your fault and I know that. I need to get to the hospital, you guys need to watch Keket and Kayla" I said letting go of him.

They all nodded. "I will keep you updated" I said. They nodded and I got into the car. I followed the ambulance to the hospital. I got there, grabbed King  and went to the help desk. "Hello, my baby sister just came in on a stretcher" I said.

"Okay, do you have your mother with?" She asked. "Okay, so it's complicated. She is the surrogate" I said. She nodded. "So your her parent?" She asked. I nodded. "Then you can take a seat in the waiting room and fill out these papers" she said handing me a clipboard full of papers.

I sat down and filled out the papers then gave them back. She smiled and I sat down again. I waited and watched people pass, leave and enter. I felt a hand on my shoulder. I looked up and saw a younger woman who was a doctor. She was clearly nervous and sad. "Are you Kyabele?" She asked. I nodded.

"Can you come with me?" She asked quietly. I nodded and grabbed King then followed her. We went down a hall and into a white room with two chairs. "Take a seat" she said closing the door. I sat down and set King on my lap.

She sat across from me. "I have some bad news" she said. I nodded. "I hate to say this, but Kayabrie didn't... Um, she didn't make it" she said. I felt a strain on my heart. Tears trickled down my face as I pulled King closer.

"You can come say your last words" she said. I followed her in to the room. I saw Kaya's little lifeless body lying on the bed. More tears came. I kissed her cold forehead and face timed Kasin. Everyone was there. A bunch of questions were being asked.

"Guys, say your last words" I said. Everyone went silent. Then they all started talking at once. "Did she die?" , "what is happening?" They all asked  in sync. I had now words so I just set the phone by her head, grabbed King and left the room so I could collect myself.

I walked back in moments later and picked up the phone. They were still on call, everyone was crying. "I am so sorry! I should have stopped it from happening by making sure she wasn't going to choke" Kal sobbed.

"Kal! I-It wasn't your fault, did you guys say your goodbyes?" I asked. Everyone nodded. "Okay, see you later." I said before clicking the hangup button. A nurse came in and pulled the blanket up and over her head.

I walked out and put King in the car and drove home. I wish I could say then I woke up and it was all a nightmare, but I couldn't. This is reality.

I got home and saw that Josh's car was gone meaning her left. I grabbed King and went in. I walked in and everyone was on the couch. They were crying, then I saw Marcus, Martinus, and Kaeley trying to help.

Kal shot up and hugged me. "I am so sorry" he sobbed into me. I pulled away. "Kalonice! It wasn't your fault. Stuff happens!" I said. "But it was me who couldn't save her" he said.

"Nobody could" I said. We pulled away and Marcus, Martinus and Kaeley were looking at me in worry. I turned back to Kal. "Why are they here?" I whispered. "To comfort us" he whispered back.

"I'm going to my room" I whispered. I unbuckled King and walked upstairs. I set him in his crib and sobbed into my what once was soft maroon pillow.

I pulled King out of his crib and turned out the lights. I crawled under the blankets and put King right next to me. I slowly cried myself to sleep.
