UNPREDICTED LOVE

Chapter Nine

- Regina's POV -
My pregnancy had been going really well the first two trimesters, but going into the third one it was getting much more difficult. I was feeling nauseous a lot and very weak, but David had been great help. Today we were going to see Dr Whale for another checkup but this time to find out the gender of the baby and i couldn't be more excited.

We drove to the hospital and I got attached up to the machine while David stood next to me holding my hand reassuringly, Dr Whale moved the equipment across my belly and stared at the screen trying to make out the gender, I looked at David wondering what it could be, I hoped for a girl but I didn't mind either way. He smiled before looking back at us

"Congratulations, it's a girl!" he said, I gasped happily before looking up at David and grinning, he squeezed my hand

"Thankyou, Dr Whale" he said before we got up and left to go and tell everyone the big news.

I hobbled into grannies my belly finally starting to show more now, David held my back and helped me in and sat me down in one of the booths before standing next to me.

Everyone was already in grannies waiting for us, Snow and Emma and were talking and Hook, Robin and even Rumple were here after he successfully found a way to bring Belle back too. David cleared his threat

"Um, excuse me everyone but if I could have your attention for just a moment me and Regina have some exiting news for you all" he said as everyone stopped and turned to hear the news.

I looked up at David smiling before I continued "We would like to announce that we are in fact, expecting a baby girl!" I said excitedly before everyone cheered

"Yay, congrats guys!" said Emma

"Oh my god Regina I'm so happy for you!" said Snow before walking over and hugging me.

I was so overwhelmed with the realization that I was having a baby soon and also about how happy everyone was for me and David. Everyone went back to drinking and talking and while speaking to Snow I noticed out of the corner of my eye, David speak to Hook and then they both walked out of grannies I looked in confusion before turning back to Snow.

"Where do you think they're going?" I said concerned

"I'm not sure, maybe David is giving Hook some advice for him and Emma who knows" Snow replied

"Oh god yeah, I forgot about that I mean they've done the marriage part maybe it is time for them to have an idea of having a baby" I said observingly I said while glancing over at Emma, who was talking to Belle

"Or.. maybe she already is" I said cautiously still looking and Snow then gazed around too

"Mhm, maybe" she said before laughing.

- David's POV -
Me and hook walked out of grannies and stood in the outside seating area

"So mate, what was it you wanted to ask him?" Hook said

"Well, I was wondering if you could give me some advice" I said

"Me give advice to Prince Charming, bloody hell thats a first" he said snarkly

"Yeah, it's about me and Regina.. I was thinking about maybe proposing.. I.. I know it's all a bit much with her being pregnant and all but I just thought it would be the perfect time I mean by the time we arrange a wedding and that hopefully our baby girl will be born or if not then I'm sure Regina can still fit into a dress, I mean Snow did with Emma!" I rambled while looking at Hook

"Alright mate, slow down but I think it's up to you whether you think it's the right time or not" he said before patting my shoulder and walking back instead, before I eventually followed.

I stepped back inside and Regina looked straight over to me concerned, I shot her a reassuring smile and headed over

"You alright Regina?" I said before sitting down next to her in the booth and putting my arm around her

"I'm fine, but what could you possibly of been talking to the pirate about?" she said clearly after noticing us sneak outside

"Oh nothing to worry about" I said avoiding the question, she continued to look at me for a second her eyebrow arched before eventually turning back at Snow.

Later that evening, after everyone had gone home, me and Regina headed back to her house and sat down onto the sofa together cuddling, she laid across me and I rubbed her belly

"So have we thought of any names for our baby girl yet?" I said curious, she sat up straight and turned around

"Oh my god David, we've been so busy we've completed forgot about even naming our baby we haven't discussed any names yet and she could come any day now!" She said worried.

We sat and thought for a while, most of the names I suggested Regina shook her head too but eventually I said

"How about, Mia?" she looked at me and her eyes widened and she smiled softly

"Mia" she repeated

"So, is that decided then?" I said relived

"Yes! let's call her Mia" Regina replied before leaning forward and pecking me on the lips.

Then we went up to bed and Regina fell asleep wrapped in my arms.
