UNPREDICTED LOVE

Chapter Ten

                           - Regina's POV -
That morning I woke up around 8:30 and remembers that David had gone to the sheriffs station early that morning around 4:30am to help Emma with a load of paperwork and patrolling duty and had only just gotten in at 7 and been in his office downstairs continuing with some work, I got up and ready and went downstairs and made myself and David a coffee before going into his office to give it to him.

He was leant over his desk top typing away at some paperwork when we noticed me come in and turned around

"Morning gorgeous" he croaked before leaning up and kissing me on the forehead

"Morning, I thought you might like a coffee to help with the early morning" I said smiling.

"I think I'm going to go and bake some cookies, this pregnancy has been making me crave them like crazy" I said laughing and then I got up and hobbled into the kitchen before putting on my apron and beginning to bake some cookies.

I began to use all the ingredients and suddenly I hear snoring coming from the other room. I popped my head round the door and noticed David had moved into the living room and was fast asleep on the sofa, I laughed

"Guess this means more for me then" I said before going back to baking, as I was stirring the mixture I suddenly began to feel some sharp pains.

I rubbed my stomach in discomfort "Urgh, Mia that was quite the kick" I said and continued to stir.

Then the pains began to get more violent, the pain hit me sharp again and I jolted dropping the spoon back into the mixing bowl and clutching my stomach

"Urgh, ow uh not too hard now" I said awkwardly laughing before starting to panic.

Then I started to feel agonizing pain and I groaned

"Urgh, oh god no something's not right" I gasped in pain clutching my stomach before shouting

"David! David I think we need to go to the hospital" and I hobbled into the other room and tapped him hard on the shoulder and he awoke instantly.

                             - David's POV -
I awoke to Regina tapping me hard on the shoulder, I noticed her face was in panic and she was clutching her stomach and I instantly knew something was wrong. I shot up

"Regina, what is it?" I said alarmed

"The..the baby some..things wrong I I think she's coming" she gasped clearly in lots of pain.

I helped her out of the house and into the car and she continued to groan still clutching her stomach in agony

"Urgh ahhh, hurry" she said.

I put my foot down on the pedal and rushed us to the hospital as fast as I could, we got in and I shouted for some nurses and they helped Regina onto a wheelchair and wheeled her inside and I hurried along next to her, she continued to clutch her stomach now screaming in agony.

We rushed into the hospital room and they got Regina onto a bed

"What's going on, is she okay?" I said concerned

"She's having this baby now" Dr Whale said as nurses began to sort her out ready for birth

"What? But she's not supposed to come for another couple of weeks" Regina said panicked.

She looked at me in total worry and I held her hand reassuringly

"It's alright Regina, if the baby wants to come now I guess she's gonna come now" I said before she began to squeeze my hand so tightly as she pushed.

One of the nurses stood at the other end
"Come on, that's it keep pushing! She's coming" she said as Regina groaned and pushed, squeezing my hand tighter and tighter

"Almost there, she's almost there just a few more pushes!"

She continued to push for another few minutes before finally

"That's it, here she comes, there you go" and the nurse caught the baby and I could hear wailing.

I looked over relieved and saw the nurse bring up a beautiful baby girl in her arms

"She's beautiful" said the nurse before handing her to Regina

"Uh oh h..hi there" she said laughing with tears in her eyes

"David, look it's our baby" she said before rocking her in her arms and the baby continued to cry.

I looked down at Regina holding our baby and she looked up at me and smiled

"So what are you going to call her?" said one of the nurses

"Mia" we both said before smiling at each other.

                            - Reginas POV -
Afterwards the baby was sent off and cleaned up and dressed in her baby grown before being put in her cot next to my bed, I laid there gazing over at her weakly as she slept peacefully

"Regina, you did it" said David as he kissed me on the forehead.

I grabbed his hand and squeezed it "We finally have our baby girl" I said overwhelmed.

As I was so exhausted and it was already 11pm, I fell asleep instantly and didn't wake until the next morning. We had to stay the day for more checks for me and the baby but we weren't allowed to go home until tomorrow, so I laid their most of the day holding baby Mia.

Later on around lunchtime, everyone arrived to see me and the new baby. David had told them all the news and they had insisted on coming to visit as soon as they could. First Henry came over to me with a huge grin

"Henry, come and meet your new baby sister" I said smiling

"I'm sorry you don't have a baby brother but your new baby sister will be just as good I promise" I said laughing.

Then Emma, Snow, Hook, Belle and Rumple all came and met baby Mia.
