The next morning, Mafumafu woke up with a small yawn and he tiredly rubbed his eyes. He looked around his room and he had to do a double take when he saw the cat on his curtains, clawing at them and letting sunshine in. Within seconds, Mafu shrieked loudly and the cat fell off, startled and meowing in pain.

"W-why?!" Mafu asked, rushing to his curtains and sighing at the rips in them. He thought it was the worst thing he could have woken up to. He looked to Soraru who was laying on his back, a bored expression on his face as he turned over.

"Why?" Mafu asked again, mostly to himself.

Because I got bored, Soraru answered in his mind as he sat up and lazily meowed, trying to get the albino's attention. It wasn't working because the albino was too busy mumbling to himself about the price of new curtains. While he did that, Soraru's stomach growled and he looked up at Mafu expectantly. This seemed to finally get the albino's attention as he looked to the cat.

"Oh! I have to feed you! But... I don't-" the albino stopped, looking outside and then rushing to grab his phone. "-I have school!!" He suddenly blurted out, panicking because it was already past the time he would be ready. At this time, he would have already been heading to class but he sighed in defeat. "I guess I can take today off, I have to buy a lot of things anyways,..." he said.

The cat didn't get why Mafu seemed to sound sad. He wondered if it was over the curtains, but as Soraru pondered the sad tone, the cat shook his head and decided he didn't care anymore and he just wanted food. He meowed once again to get Mafu's attention.

"R-right! Food! I don't have any cat food... is it okay to give a cat rice?" He asked aloud, leaving his room to go to his kitchen. Mafu knew he had poor cooking skills and most of the time he ate whatever junk food he could find, but he knew how to at least make rice and some meats. He debated to himself before deciding rice shouldn't kill a cat and it would be fine if it was one time.

After awhile of Mafu shuffling around his kitchen, messily making food and Soraru jumping on the counter only for Mafu to shoo him away, he had finished. He served it to the cat in a small plate and smiled at Soraru.

"I'm not mad about the curtains! Just in case Soraru-san was curious!" He said. Soraru thought the "-san" was unnecessary, but he was already learning the albino was just the kind of person who liked to be unnecessary.

The cat sniffed the rice before eating some of it, deciding it was decent enough and it was better than anything he found on the streets to eat.

While he ate, Mafu watched closely since he couldn't help it. He was thinking that it was adorable, he even considered petting the cat as he ate since Mafu saw that on TV a lot, but he knew better than to try it. It was obvious the cat didn't trust him, so he was determined to try to change that. While Soraru was finishing up the food, Mafu left to go take a quick shower and brush his teeth.

"Uwaa... it's going to be a long day, huh?" Mafu said to himself as he looked in the mirror while he messed with his hair. He had put on simple shorts and a sweater that was slightly big on him. The albino nearly put on skinny jeans but he would rather be comfortable while shopping than look stylish. He suddenly giggled though, knowing he didn't have good style anyways.

His phone vibrated and he gasped, reaching for it quickly. Mafumafu completely forgot about texting Amatsuki last night. He whined at the multiple texts from his best friend, feeling bad he didn't reply sooner.

From: Amatsukiiiiii!!

what do u mean a mean cat

hey

seriously mofumofu what do u mean???? u got a cat???

aren't u

like........

....allergic?

Mafu puffed his cheeks out and glared at the screen. I am not allergic, that one time I just had something in my eyes and I happened to have a cat in my arms, he bitterly thought before scrolling to new messages from just a few minutes ago.

From: Amatsukiiiiii!!
ok. u didn't show up to class so im guessing the cat killed u b/c allergies or whatever LMAO

i'll see if ur alive later cuz the teacher is totally glaring at me >____>

Mafu laughed a bit, typing a response back so Amatsuki could at least know he was alive.

To: Amatsukiiiiii!!
im alive!!! (^ω^) please bring me the work Im missing!

also! I am not allergic!!! ( ̄^ ̄)ゞ

but stop by later anyways!!

Mafu then put his phone in his pocket and went to get his wallet. He figured he had enough to get a few things he needed for the cat. He would just have to live a few days without buying snacks as he usually did...

At the thought of the cat, though, he realized he left the cat alone. Quickly, Mafumafu scurried to see where Soraru was and he prayed the cat wasn't destroying anymore furniture or anything.

After checking the living room he saw, though, that Soraru was simply grooming himself. Mafu smiled again as he watched Soraru lick his paw and he couldn't believe the cat could be so cute. He approached the cat cheerfully.

"I'll be going to buy things! You can come with me, if you'd like! You can choose your own bed and treats," he offered, motioning to a small handbag he had. It was big enough to hold Soraru so the albino was hoping it would be a perfect chance to spend time with the cat and also make sure Soraru wasn't alone to destroy anything. He gave the cat hopeful eyes.

What the hell? Am I supposed to go in that bag? Soraru thought, immediately turning his head. He was even going to scratch Mafu, but when he looked back to the albino and saw he disappointed expression, he stopped. The cat wondered why he even cared about a human's feelings, but somehow, seeing Mafu look sad made his stomach hurt more than when he was hungry. The cat made an annoyed sound, but he made an effort to go into Mafu's handbag.

He made sure to have the most angry expression he could, though, so the albino didn't get the wrong idea.

Mafu perked up, though and let out a happy squeal.

"Too cute!! Thank you! I know you don't trust me but I'll really take care of you, okay Soraru-san? Just don't scratch my curtains, please!" He reached without thinking to pet Soraru's head and surprisingly, the cat didn't hiss at him.

It made the albino feel accomplished that he could do a small gesture like pet Soraru now and so he with a bright smile on his face, he left his home.
