Mafumafu glanced at the numerous texts from Amatsuki. He didn't even realize it was his birthday. In fact, he had just woken up and was going to get ready for class until his phone kept buzzing.
As he read the texts, he shuddered. Amatsuki using kaomojis was a scary thing...
To: Amatsukiiiiii!!
we can't skip ( T_T) !!
but thanks! it makes me happy enough you remembered my birthday! that's all I need!!!
Mafumafu had tapped send enthusiastically, more than satisfied at least Amatsuki remembered it when the albino himself didn't. Before he could put his phone away, the brunette had replied insanely fast.

it wasn't a suggestion. we're skipping.

Mafumafu gulped. The way Amatsuki was typing, even the slightest difference, meant he was serious. The albino didn't want to test the brunette and so he sighed. He took a peek into the living room where Soraru was napping. The cat boy had spent yet another night playing video games, so it was to be expected he would be tired.
Mafu pursed his lips. It wasn't like he hadn't skipped school before, but he felt a bit selfish doing so because it was just his birthday. But... Amatsuki seemed to really want to hang out...
It took Mafumafu a bit more thought before he typed out his response.
To: Amatsukiiiiii!!
....... okay okay!! stop threatening me! i'll go!
Again, Amatsuki replied quickly, and the albino could just imagine him anticipating his response.

OH GOD LMAO i totally thought u were gonna say no and it was just gonna be me skipping by myself
u won't regret this tho! i'll buy u some cake to celebrate!
Mafumafu sighed quietly out loud, but he was smiling a bit. He was suddenly feeling less tired and he had some cake to look forward to.
"So I'm 17, huh..." he mumbled to himself. It didn't particularly feel like a special day, but he felt extremely grateful that his friend was putting such an effort for it to be.
Again, he glanced to where Soraru was napping.
Would it be selfish to tell him it's my birthday...? It's not like i want anything, though... He crossed his arms and looked thoughtful. Somehow, his thoughts came to how grateful he was to be dating Soraru.
He still doesn't understand a lot of things, and he hisses when I tell him to shower, but in the end, he's my boyfriend... thinking that made Mafu smile. It was his first birthday with a boyfriend, and thinking of having many more with Soraru around made him even happier.
Soon, his phone was buzzing again with messages from his parents also wishing him a happy birthday. In that moment, the albino didn't mind his lack of friends, for his family made up for it. Not to mention, Amatsuki was even going to get him cake. He was beginning to think he didn't deserve such a nice day.
