Jayden walked around, while Anna was sleeping. He cleaned the kitchen from last night.

That girl, will she ever learn to clean up for herself. He thought to himself.

As he was walking, he noticed that Anna doesnt have a picture of her family.

When organizing her books, he saw one that seemed interesting. He opened it and read through the first chapter. From what he read from it, it was a cliche romance book.

He didnt expect her to be the type to love these types of books. He then heard Anna wake up.

"What's up Jayden?" She yawned.

"Can I ask you something?"

"Yeah, sure what is it?"

"Why do you like these types of books?" He held up the book

Anna blushed at the sight of one of her books. "I mean the stories are sometimes interesting.." She looked away. "Really?" Jayden rose an eyebrow.

"Look! My friend recommended me one a few months ago. And well, I got attached"

"Right.." Jayden placed the book down

During the afternoon both watched  reality tv shows. Jayden sat next Anna.

"So I have been wondering? How can you sit on furniture but not hold things?" Anna asked.

"Well I guess it depends on how long you have been dead." He said looking up.

"So, how long have you been like this?" Anna asked curiously. Jayden looked at her and answered her question, "About a year or so."

She nodded. It was quiet. Jayden added commentary to time. Some about the show, others about Anna.

After some time, Anna began studying, when Jayden walked in. Anna looked up to see the ghostly figure.

"Can I ask you something?" Jayden asked. Anna put her pencil down and looked at him with a smile. "Sure was it?"

"I saw that you only have pictures of you and your friend and dog. But no sign of your family. Why is that?" Anna looked down and sighed. "My family wasnt really a family. If that makes sense"

Jayden looked at her confused, "What do you mean?" Anna stretched in her seat, "I mean, a family is people you can trust and love you no matter what. And they wouldnt hurt you on purpose"

"For you scenario, they did the opposite?" Jayden asked. Anna nodded, "My family never really cared about me. By family I mean my parents. They would beat me for not doing things right. I did the chores while they slacked off. If I cleaned something wrong, I would get hit" Jayden listened intently. "Anything that I did that I thought would make them happy, never worked. After so much pain, I moved in with my friends family at age 16. I told them that I was kicked out"

"From there, I was treated much better. I helped them with everything in return. After I turned 18, I decided to move out into this condo, since they helped me so much" Anna looked at Jayden. He looked hurt by her past.

"Im sorry that you had to go through that" Anna shrugged, "Its fine. Its over now

"Anways, I should probably go eat." Anna put her things away and walked to the kitchen.

Anna prepared her meal and feasted. She fed her dog before going to give herself a shower

After showering, she went tovher bed and slept.
