Chapter 13

The morning grew, Anna walked to her kitchen to fix herself a meal. She grabbed a pack of bacon and grabbed two slices. She heated up a pan and added oil to help the bacon give a crispy texture. She layed the two and waited for them to cook. While waiting she grabbed two eggs and cracked them on a bowl. She then pour into the bowl and whisked them together. She added the mixture in the same pan with the bacon.

A few minutes passed, and the whole apartment was filled with the savory smell. She served herself and sat at the table. "Smells good" Anna turned her head to see Jayden standing by the entry way. "Is that a compliment?" She smiled.

"Can't I be nice?" He joked. Anna gave a short giggle as a response and continued to pour herself a drink. "Do ghosts eat?" She asked. Jayden looked at the plate of food and then to Anna, "I can, but the taste would be faded to me" he said. Anna gave a nod.

After breakfast, Anna cleaned up her dish and changed into other clothing, that weren't her pajamas. She sat at the couch and watched a movie that was on. Jayden later came and sat by her. "What we watching?" He stared at the screen. "I really dont know" The screen showed a little girl claiming that she has seen and felt the sun above her, where her classmates didnt believe her. Must fun to have a childhood like that Anna thought. She then realized that she never asked Jayden about his past.

"Hey Jayden, I never asked you about your past" Jayden turned to her and thought about it. "I really dont remember anything" He thought about it more. "Huh, well I guess we wont find out". There was a sudden knock on the door. The two looked over to the door. Anna walked up to it and peeked through the peep hole. She saw Ben and Karen standing there talkimg to each other waiting for the door to open.

"Crap! I forgot they were coming over!" She rapidly began to clean. She cleaned up the dished in the sink and closed all the rooms. More knocking was heard from outside. "Hang on!" Anna yelled. After finishing up, she opened the door to see Karen in a sweater and pants. Ben with a jacket and pants as well. "Come in" Anna welcomed them in.

"Pretty clean" Ben commented. Anna gave them each drinks. "So.. Where is the ghost?" Karen asked. "It doesnt just welcome you" Ben looked at Karen. "You have to get it to come to you" Anna looked over to Jayden. He seemed excited that there was more people at the place. He saw Anna staring at him and shrugged, not knowing what to do in this situation.

"Lets investigate shall we?" Karen pulled out Ouiji board and some candles. She placed the Ouiji board in the center of the living room and candles around. "I thought we were investigating?" Ben said sitting on the floor infront of the board. "We are. This is my way" Anna walked to her room to grab a lighter. Jayden followed behind her.

"So, should I do anything? Should I scare them? Ooh what if I appeared infront of them, would we be friends?" Jayden asked excitedly. Anna looked in the bookshelf. "No. Stay still until they leave. That way they think there is no ghost here" Anna found the lighter and walked out the door. Jayden looked at her walk out.

"Found a lighter" Anna have the lighter to Karen. She lit each candle and gave it back to Anna. Everyone sat around the board. "Shall we begin?" Ben said.

Peeking out of Annas room Jayden watched them from afar "She didnt say what not to do specifically" he smirked at the thought.
