Anna's POV
I walked to school with my backpack hanging behind me. When I entered the front gate, crowded with students I heard one that was familiar to me.

It was Karen. She jumped up and hugged me. I hugged back and smiled. At least I am not alone.

"Dude, did you hear about the paranormal activity on the news. It was crazy! Some girl almost got killed!" She exclaimed. "And why is that a good thing?" I asked. I mean sure Karen can be "weird" sometimes, but someone almost died!

"I mean, its not, but we have proof that ghosts can be scary. Remember when we saw a ghost in my room as kids?" Karen asked. I do remember, when we were kids we went in her room and saw a "ghost" at the end of her bed.

"That was your older sister in a white dress with make up." I said. "Right. Why do you have to ruin my fun?" She pouted and crossed her arms. I giggled, she saw this and and smiled. The bell rang and we both entered the school side by side.

Anna sat by the window and stared out, while the teacher taught up on the board.

"Today we have a new student joining us today. You may come in!" The teacher motioned in. Anna looked up and saw a boy walk in. He had brown messy hair and dark brown eyes. He was wearing a long sweater and some jeans. He looked like the lonely and shy type of boy.

"This is Ben. Please treat him well and kind. Your seat will be next to Anna." He pointed and Ben's eyes followed. Anna was nervous and felt her face heat up. She wasnt good at giving first impressions.

This got Ben's attention. He smirked. As class continued he brought his hand up to her. "Hey, names Ben. You kinda already knew that. But I hope we become good friends" He smiled. Anna hesitated, but still shook his hand.

--time skip--
After school Anna walked to her apartment complex when she felt a hand on her shoulder. She looked back and saw it was Ben. He smiled and let go of her shoulder. "Hey. I was wondering if I can walk with you? My house is close around here. Plus we can know each other."

"Sure. So what do you want to talk about? I hope its not any pick up lines." she continued walking. Ben catches up to her and chuckled. "Don't worry I won't. I just want to make friends." Anna nodded.

"Well how did you like the school?" Anna asked. "Well, its been great. I mean except all the lessons. But the rest I guess." Anna didnt show emotion but just nodded. "Well, I hope you get to fit in."

"Thanks! Also why did we stop?" Ben tilted his head. "I live here. I guess yours is more ahead." She pointed at her house and then forward. "Yeah. Well see you at school tomorrow! Bye Anna!" He waved and walked home. Anna waved and smiled. 'He seems like a nice guy' She thought.

Once she arrived, she placed her bag on the couch and played sat down. She was exhausted. When she closed her eyes, a certain voice interrupted her thoughts. "Well, he seems like a nice guy." Jayden spoke to Anna. She jumped and sat up. "Don't scare me like that! I am still not used to being at home with someone else than my dog" She sighed. Jayden laughed at that. Its was cute when Anna got scared to him. She was like her little sister. "Anyways, tell me all about him girl" He said in a sassy tone. "Its nothing like that. He was new at school. And he coincidently lived close by."

"Yeah, yeah." Jayden rolled his eyes. He sat down and watched tv. When Anna was about to take a nap she got a call. She looked at her phone and saw it was Karen's mom.

You see when Anna left her parents, Karens mom was there and raised her as her own. So Anna saw her as a proper mother figure. Sometimes Anna mistakenly calls her mom, which she doesn't mind.

Anna picked up the phone and answered.

"Hey, mom! I--I mean Mrs.Wood"

"Hello, Anna! There is no need to be so formal with me dear by the way, you know I see you as my own. Anyways, just checking in. Are you doing fine?" Karens mom asked.

"Yeah. Thanks for asking. I just got off of school. Oh and Karen is doing fine."

"That's great. Be careful! If you ever need anything you know where to find me. And don't walk alone at night! Bye!"

"Thank you. Bye!" Anna ended the call and left her phone at counter. She walked to her room and closed the door to change, but she forgot that she lives with a guy. She opened it a bit and yelled, "Don't come in! I am changing!" "Got it! Do your girl stuff!" Jayden yelled from the couch. She then closed the door again.

Jayden's POV
I thought about that boy with Anna. Who was he? He had an energy from him. I feel like I know him from somewhere. Eh, oh well.

I continued to watch tv. Anna came out of her room in her pajamas. "Hey, have you seen the news lately? Paranormal activity." I asked. She then responded, "Yeah my friend told me. The girl almost died."

"Really? I am pretty sure ghosts don't get that angry" Jayden said scratching his head head. "Yeah, well this one sure does have a bad temper." She yawned. "Im gonna sleep. Good Night!" She walked to her room.

"Night!" Jayden yelled. He turned off the tv and went outside. When he stepped out I saw a glowing figure. When he was going to investigate further, it left. Jayden shrugged it off. He sat on the chair and looked at the night sky. The moon was out shining down at him.

"...How long have I done this?" He whispered.

He looked up and enjoyed the scenery.

But from far away someone was watching.
