Its been about a week since Ben has entered Anna's life. Ben has flirted with her many times. It was mostly cheesy pick up lines. Anna knew he joked about the flirting so she didnt mind.

Anna woke up from her sleeping state and groaned in frustration. She walked to the bathroom and washed up.

She changed into a grey sweatshirt and blue jeans. And for shoes, she wore cozy boots, since it was starting to get cold.

She walked out of her room and made toast with a side of fruit. As she ate, Jayden came from behind her and scared her. "Jayden! You scared me!" She layed her hand over her chest. Jayden laughed, "Sorry, you just looked so helpless". She forgave him and continued to eat.

"Yeah, yeah. Anyways see ya!" She walked out.

At the cafateria, Anna was talking to Karen. "So, I heard that around December we would be having a winter dance" Karen told Anna. She started going over how her dress would be. "How are you sure that you will be asked out?" A voice joined in. Karen looked up at Ben. "Hey! I know ok!" She growled at him. He chuckled and looked over to Anna. "So are we gonna be studying at your place?" Anna nodded. As they talked, Anna looked to her right and saw Steve with his girlfriend. The girl noticed and glared at her. Anna looked away quickly.

Every thing was the same for the rest of the day. People gossiping, teachers going over lessons, and theres Anna. She looked out the window and daydreamed. 'I wonder what Jayden does at home?' She thought.

Meanwhile at home, Jayden was watching a show about a romance cliche. "Why does she get back with him after he cheated on her?" He sat intentively watching the screen. He petted Rio (decided to give Annas dog a name). Jayden turned off the tv and walked around the house, cleaning, fixing anything out of order. It was a boring day for him.

Anna...

That voice, it was back. Anna shook her head to try to keep it out.

Im here. I will always be here. Remember mommy? Daddy? Remember how they would hurt you?

Anna pressed on the scar on her stomach.

Stop!

Anna was on the ground trembling in a corner. She was 15. It was her birthday.

Her mother slapped her. "Youannoying brat! How dare you talk back to me!" Another slap. Anna was already bleeding. How long has she been like this? Her father came in, cigar in hand. "Please stop! I wont do it anymore!"

"Just for measures" Her mother got the cigar from her mouth and stuck it on Anna's skin. They were drunk again.

It was always like this. Drunk or not, this was daily. She was helpless. No one did anything.

Her father got a wine bottle and threw it to Anna. Her skin cut on her stomach. They left, Anna reached out and grabbed the pillow case fabric and wrapped it around her torso. 'Someone. Save me'

The voice left. She returned to the real world. She pretended nothing happened and continued talking to her friends.

After school, she left home. Passing by what it seemed to be both a bakery and cafe, she saw a 'Help Wanted' sign. She went inside and went to the front counter. A elderly woman stood there with a smile, "Hello. Would you like anything?"

Anna greeted her. "Thank you, but I saw the sign out front" Anna scratched her head shyly. "Ah, you are interested on the job opening" The old lady smiled. Anna nodded her head, the lady giggled and grabbed a piece of paper. "Here is a sheet that you will fill out, with the time you interview will start. It will be on this Sunday, one of the worlers here will ask you questions just like any interview" Anna grabbed the paper and nodded, "Thank you ma'am!" Anna waved goodbye and left.

As Anna arrived at her home, she placed her coat on the hanger and set her shoes aside. She fell onto the couch and looked at the application. Should I? She felt a hand on her shoulder, which caused her to jump.  "Hey, what you got there?" Jayden smiled at her. She smiled back, "I was thinking on getting a job" Jayden nodded and sat on the coffee table, "Why don't you? It looks fun" he looked over the paper. "Plus, you might learn a thing or two" he smiled at her. "You might be right. Well, I am heading to the shower now, PE killed me today" She walked off to her room to grab clothes and proceeded to grab a towel.

She lay in bed, unable to sleep. She felt as if she was being watched, she stood up and looked around the room. "Jayden, I know you are here!" She expected him to appear infront of her, but nothing happened. She felt uncomfortable, she walked out of the room and went to the kitchen. She pured herself a glass of milk to help her sleep. It was very silent around the house, "I just realized how creepy the apartment is at night" As she sipped on her milk. "Hey, Anna what are you doing here at night?" She choked on her milk, she turned around and saw Jayden, "Jeez, you scared me" He laughed. Even though they have met each other for months, Anna still is jumpy.

"Were you in my room?" Jayden gave her a confused look. "I was out here" Anna placed her cup in the sink. "Thats weird, I thought I was being watched" Jayden smirked and came close to Anna "Maybe it was a ghost, oooh~" He then realized the irony.

"Wait, but aren't you a g-"

"Shut up" He cut her off. "Well, I will go back to sleep. Good night Jayden" She walked to her room she layed down on her bed and sighed. She looked over the window, realizing it was open. I don't remember it being open. Jayden probably opened it while I was in the kitchen. She went back to bed and dozed off.
