CHAPTER ONE

The worst day in Jeno's life, of course, it's his first day entering the high school and he already ruined the day by tripping himself onto the puddle, drenching his school uniform wet in one fall. Great, blame the stupid bricks.

Then he tried to ruffle his hair dry as he making his way to the school. Gladly, Mr. Sun came out early to the save the day for drying Jeno's school uniform along the way. Luckily it was still early before the class starts, like 20 minutes. Then he saw a familiar figure standing beside the school gate.

'Yah, Jeno!' It was Renjun waving at him happily.

'Oh hey, Junnie-ah.' Jeno walked towards him.

'Wow, you look ... a bit wet?' Renjun examined his appearance.

'Yeah, I just fell.'

'Wahahaha! How?'

'Blame the bricks.'

'You're blind.' Renjun remarked, making Jeno rolled his eyes.

'Anyways, let's go inside. The others are waiting.' Then both of them went inside to the school building.

(At the cafeteria ...)

'Unbelievable, you tripped on the bricks and made yourself a mess at the first day of school, what a luck.' Donghyuck said sarcastically.

'Haha, unbelievable, right?' Jeno fake a laugh, making Donghyuck shook his head.

'I'm glad that we're still in the same school with same old friends. That's what fate called.' Chenle said proudly.

'Yeah, more disasters ahead.' Jisung said.

'What disasters?'

'You.' Jisung pointed at Chenle, making Chenle gasped dramatically.

'I'm not a God and I don't create disasters, okay?'

'Oh, you are creating disaster right now.'

'I did not.'

'Hey hey hey, enough of that guys. Bickering at the first day of school? Really?' Renjun said, making both of them shrugged.

'Ugh, you all are still the same.' Jeno facepalmed himself.

'Isn't always?' Chenle said, making Jeno rolled his eyes at him.

'I wish that guy also here.' Donghyuck mumbled.

'What guy?' Chenle suddenly interrupted.

'Our senior of course. That Donghyuck always ogling at him all the time, duh.' Renjun said.

'Oh, that guy. Isn't he went to different school?' Chenle said, making Donghyuck pouted.

RING!!!

'Hah, the annoying bell is screaming for classes. Let's go.' Jeno said as he got up from the bench.

'Nooooo.' Chenle whaled dramatically as the other quickly ran away from him, not wanting to be embarrassed with him.

'Yah, wait for me, guys!' Chenle quickly followed them.

After the boring class ended, Chenle offered Jeno to play video games at his house with the others but Jeno rejected the offer nicely. Of course, Chenle called him no fun as always. Then Jeno just shrugged it off and bid them goodbye.

Jeno walked slowly along the side road until someone crashed on him hard making him fell flat on his back.

'Ah! Shit!' Jeno bit his lips while holding the pain from his lower back by the great impact.

'Oh my god! I'm so sorry. Did you get hurt?' A boy who has a soft voice asking Jeno worriedly.

'I'm fine.' Jeno groaned a bit.

'I'm so so sorry. It's my fault for being rushed.' The boy apologized repeatedly. Jeno didn't want to get angry or mad, then he just waved his hand that he's okay. Then the boy lifted Jeno up gently and kept apologized in the process.

'Stop apologizing. I'm fine, thanks.' Jeno cuts him off as he brushing the dirt away from his uniform.

'I'm so sorry.' The boy apologized again.

'Stop it, will you?' Jeno said as he looked up the boy and glared at him a bit, who's hung his head low, couldn't see his face clearly but could saw his long eyelashes.

'I said I'm fine.' Then the boy nodded his head as he stood there awkwardly.

'Now go.' Then the boy quickly ran away from him without saying anything.

'Great, I just scared him.' Jeno scoffed a bit. Then he turned around to look the boy for the last time but didn't see the boy anywhere.

'Is he a ninja or what?' Jeno mumbled to himself and shrugged it off afterward. Then he continued to walk back home. But little did he know, the boy was hiding behind the wall, observing him from afar.

'I wonder where this guy came from.' The boy muttered to himself as he stared at the cold-like figure slowly disappeared from his sight.

After Jeno done showered and put on his pajamas, he slumped his body on his comfy bed after the tiring and miserable day. His mom asked him tons of questions about his first day of school. Good, came out from his mouth simply.

Then he suddenly remembered the accident and the boy of course. He didn't ask him his name or anything because the boy keeps apologizing, making him feel irritated a bit and tell him to go instantly.

'Oh Jeno, why are you so damn lucky today?' Jeno said to himself sarcastically. Then he pushed the distracting thoughts away and turn off the table light sitting on the nightstand beside him to sleep.
