CHAPTER FIFTEEN

'Your mom diagnosed the primary cardiac tumor.' The doctor said, making Jaemin bursts into tears. Jeno's mom was so shocked and speechless at the time. Her friend is having a life crisis. Then Jeno rubbing the boy's back as he was sobbing quietly.

'She can still survive if she gets the surgery as soon as possible.' The doctor continues.

'How much for the cost?' Jaemin asked.

'Approximately 150,000 dollars for the whole surgery process that includes medication and treatment procedure. We already gave you the best surgery cost because of her 59.99% survival rate.' Jaemin was speechless. He didn't have that amount of money. 150,000 dollars? That was an insane amount of price for Jaemin.

'Okay, thank you.' Jaemin bowed to the doctor as he wiping his tears away. Then the doctor smiled and went off.

'What should I do?' Jaemin mumbled to Jeno. Then Jeno sighed and turned to look at his mom who's very worried at the moment.

'I didn't have that much money for the surgery and at the same time, I want to save my mom. She's the only person that I have right now and I couldn't live without her.' Jaemin said as he started to sob again. Then Jeno was tearing up as he saw his boyfriend crying. He hates that the one that he loves crying, it makes him heartbroken.

'Uhm ... I will pay the surgery cost for you, Jaemin.' Jeno's mom suddenly, making Jaemin and Jeno looked up at her in surprise.

'W-What ...?' Jaemin muttered.

'Really, mom?' Jeno asked excitedly. Then his mom nodded his head while smiling at them.

'Oh my god ... really?' Jaemin asked again.

'Of course and she's my friend. I know you guys are having a hard time right now so I'm willing to help you guys.'

'How can I pay you for this?'

'Well, I want you to get married to my son.' Jeno's mom said, making the two boys dropped their jaws.

'......'

'Wah! Really?!' Jeno exclaimed excitedly after he's been silent for 5 minutes, making Jaemin and Mrs. Lee startle.

'Don't celebrate too early, my son. Not this year but I will arrange the wedding for you guys.' Mrs. Lee said, making Jeno frowned.

'Awww.' Jeno pouted, making Jaemin giggled.

'Thank you very much, Mrs. Lee.' Jaemin said.

'Don't call me that, just call me mom.'

'Ah, okay, m-mom.' Jaemin said shyly, making Jeno's mom laughed.

'Alright, I go find the doctor and ask him to arrange the operation for your mom.' She said.

'Thank you so much, Mrs. Lee! Uhm ... I mean mom.' Jaemin said as he bowed to her gratefully. Then she went to find the doctor for her friend, Soomin's operation. Leaving Jeno and Jaemin hugging each other and jumped with joy. Finally, Jeno's mom approved them fully and planned to get them married.

After Jeno's mom have done discussed the operation with the doctor, Jaemin's mom will undergo the surgery on next week. After that, they went into the room to visit Jaemin's mom. Soomin was laying on the bed with a weak smile as she saw his worried son ran to her and hug her tightly while sobbing silently.

'I'm fine, Jaemin-ah.' His mom said as she patting his hair gently.

'I'm so worried about you.' Jaemin sobs as he snuggled closer to his mom. Jeno and his mom looked at both of them worriedly.

After they broke the hug, Jaemin's mom saw a woman stood there and gasped.

'Minjoo?' Jaemin's mom called.

'Hi, Soomin. Long time no see, huh?' Jeno's mom said and went there to hug her old friend.

'Aigooo, where have you been, Soomin-ah?' Minjoo asked as they broke the hug. Soomin sighed and smiled weakly at her.

'I've been sick lately and I stayed at home for rest. I'm old now.' Soomin said.

'Are you feeling okay right now?'

'Yeah, kinda. What the doctor said?'

'Uhm ... he said that you had a heart cancer and should get the surgery as soon as possible.' Then Soomin sighed sadly because she knew she couldn't afford the surgery fees.

'But, I have a good news for you.' Minjoo said.

'What is it?'

'You will go for the surgery on next week.'

'But, I couldn't afford the fees, Minjoo-ah.'

'It's on me, my friend.'

'What? Why? You don't have to.'

'I'm willing to, Soomin-ah.'

'But how could I pay to you for this?'

'Well, I ask for a marriage for our sons.'

'What? You want my son to get married to your son?'

'Yeah, because they are so in love with each other and I will plan for the wedding someday.'

'But they're too young for this, Minjoo-ah.'

'I know but not this year.'

'Oh my god, never knew you will approve their relationship because I know that you wouldn't let your son get involve a relationship with anyone.'

'Aish, you know me so well.'

'Of course I do.' Both of them smiled at each other.

'Thank you, Minjoo-ah. Even though we haven't met with each other for years but you still remembered me and willing to help me for the surgery.'

'Anytime, Soomin.'

Jeno and Jaemin looked at each other and smiled. Both of them felt relieve and happy at the same time because their moms fully approves their relationship and will get married someday. Jaemin was very grateful and happy that his mom will survive from the deadly disease.
