CHAPTER NINE

Both of them were eating at the restaurant while chatting about the random thing as usual. Jeno wanted to know Jaemin even more. So, he asked Jaemin about himself which makes Jaemin slightly uncomfortable.

'What's wrong, Jaemin?' Jeno asked concernedly.

'Uhm ... nothing ... it just nothing to talk about myself.' Jaemin said while fiddling his food with his spoon. That makes Jeno worried, but he's smart enough to guess that Jaemin is in a hard time in his life. Then Jeno holds Jaemin's soft hand and looked at him with a full of sincerity in his eyes. Jaemin just gulped while looking at him.

'Come on, just tell me about yourself. It's okay.' Jeno said softly. Then Jaemin sighed and nodded his head.

'Well, you already know that I couldn't afford to study because my parents got financial problems.' Jaemin explained, making Jeno nodded his head with a full of concern written all over his face.

'I live in a small house along Seoul streets. My father passed away a few months ago and my mother is sick. I had to work for my mom.' Jeno tries to hold back his tears and smiled at him.

'And I don't want you to pity me or anything. At least I've got hands and feet to work my ass off.' Jaemin smiled widely at Jeno. Poor Jaemin Jeno thought. How can Jaemin manage to be happy and smiley along his miserable life? He's a true angel for his mother.

'Oh, I'm so sorry about your father.' Jeno said.

'No, it's okay. We have to be strong and work hard in our life.' Jaemin grinned. That grin breaks Jeno's heart into million pieces.

Jeno came from a rich family and Jaemin came from a poor family. Jeno realized that it's hard for Jaemin to raise his sick mother at home, not like his own luxury life. His mother lives healthy and wealthy.

'I wanted to help you Jaemin.' Jeno said.

'Oh, there's no need of that. I can do it by myself.'

'But aren't you tired?'

'I am but I already get used to it.' Jaemin smiled, making Jeno sighed sadly. He felt sorry for Jaemin. Then Jaemin holds both of Jeno's hands and looked at him.

'Jeno, your life couldn't compare to mine. You shouldn't help me for everything. I can manage that. I know you're the only child in your family and so do I. So, be grateful for everything that you had right now. Thanks for the clothes and I will wear it for you every day.' Jaemin smiled at him.

'But you have to stay by my side forever, Jeno. Your smile and everything gives me life.' Jaemin giggled.

'Yes, I will stay by your side no matter what.' Jeno said.

'Thank you.'

'No need to thank me. Thank you for making my life happier than before.' Jeno said, making Jaemin giggled and nodded his head.

Meanwhile ...

'Oooooh, they are getting into it.' Chenle whispered.

'I felt sorry for Jaemin. Jeno almost cried about it.' Renjun said pitifully.

'I know really. I wished that we could help him.' Donghyuck said with a frown on his face.

'Me too.' Jisung sighed. All of them hid behind the counter with a cashier who's looking at them weirdly.

'Uhm ... what are you guys spying at?' The cashier asked curiously.

'Shhhh, we don't want to get caught again.' Chenle hushed the cashier, making him pursed his lips tightly.

'Let's go for a walk, I bet you didn't go out for a long time.' Jeno said.

'Okay, let's go.' Jaemin giggled. Then both of them went to the counter and Jeno paid all of their food without noticing his absurd friends still hiding behind the counter. After that, Jeno and Jaemin went out from the restaurant.

Then Chenle stood up along the others and followed them out quietly, making the cashier shook his head.

Jeno and Jaemin are locking their hands together, strolling along the park. The weather is nice and pleasant. Then Chenle with his friends were hiding behind a huge tree still spying on them.

'It feels nice here, thanks for taking me here.' Jaemin said.

'No problem. Can I call you babe or something?' Jeno asked, making Jaemin laughed.

'You can if you want to.' Jaemin said.

'Alright, babe.' Jeno said, making Jaemin giggled.

'Did he just called him babe?' Chenle said.

'Yep, you heard that already.' Donghyuck said.

'Wah, unbelievable.' Jisung commented.

'Aish, there's nothing unbelievable there, Jisung. You can see it with your own freaking eyes.' Chenle said.

'Shhh you guys. Just ... ugh stop talking. I'm concentrating right here.' Renjun said.

'There's nothing to concentrate about, Jun.' Chenle said.

'I want to hear them what they're talking about.' Then Chenle rolled his eyes at him, but it didn't get unnoticed by him.

'Did you just rolled your eyes at me, Le?'

'Oops, I thought you didn't see that, hehe.' Then Renjun wrapped his arm around Chenle's neck and head locking him, making him yelp.

'Okay okay, stop it. I won't do that anymore.' Chenle choked.

'Says the one who stops us from talking.' Donghyuck sassed.

'You want some of it too, Hyuckie?' Renjun said.

'Oh, no thanks, buddy.' Donghyuck shook his head, making Jisung snickered.

'Let's sit there. My legs are giving up.' Jaemin pouted, making Jeno chuckled at his cuteness. This is the first time that he saw Jaemin pouts cutely to him. Only for him.

'Okay, let's go.' Then both of them went to the bench nearby to take a rest. The spy squad shifted their places to another big tree which is just located at behind the bench where Jeno and Jaemin sat. Being busybodies as always.

'So, what do you wanna talk about?' Jaemin asked while tapping his feet on the grassy ground.

'Well, did your mom know that you're going out with a guy?' Jeno asked.

'Of course she knows and she said that she wanted to meet you.'

'Oh really? I wanted to meet her too.'

'That's great. When you got free time, I'll take you to my house. I hope you didn't mind about it.'

'Nah it's okay. I'm fine with it as long as I'm with you.' Jeno smiled flashing his eye smile to Jaemin, making Jaemin giggled.

'So, how about your parents? Did they know about this?' Jaemin's question caught Jeno off guard. What will Jeno say to him?
