Raven was stuck. Stuck in the dark hole of her mind. Her mind wandered off to dark places, making her question herself and why she lives. With the door locked she was able to do something she'd regret. The empath searched around on her desk to find her pencil sharpener, which she used when she had the urge to write something down but her pencil was dull. She slowly managed to remove the small blade within it. Raven decided it would be best to carefully wash the blade to rid the tool of any germs.Raven dried the sharp object before placing it down on her desk. She sat in her chair in front of the desk; the blade taunting her. Raven took a deep breath while she pulled a sleeve of her sweatshirt up. Her shaking hand came down the blade which she lifted up above her pale skin soon afterward. The blade inched closer to her arm and once it was about to slice through her skin the door knocked. Making the object drop onto the wood desk. Raven stacked her notebook on the blade to hide it from view. The door opened a minute later, Damian's head peaking through, "Hey..babe can I sleep with you tonight?" The new nickname made her blush. The two were starting to warm up to them so it came as a shock to her when he called her names like that. "Uh..yeah..sure." She looked out the window noticing it was already sunset. "I'll be back in a half hour." Damian informed her before he closed her door.
Once he left Raven let out a breath that she held in and decided to resume the task she didn't get to finish. The empath moved her notebook, giving her easy access to the blade. Her grip was tight around the blade, making it easier for the cuts to happen. The first cut was the hardest. Building up courage for something like that was something she never thought she'd have to have. The next few weren't as hard. Feeling her blood trickle down her arm relaxed her.
Knowing that she was still half human, able to feel and to bleed gave her release that she needed. Raven sighed and hid the razor in a book in the middle of her shelf.
Her feet shuffled along the carpet, leading her to the bathroom where she tended to her wounds. Raven stared at herself in the mirror, gagging at what she saw. A few tear drops raced down her smooth cheeks. Only to be quickly wiped away in anger. She was angry at herself for letting her go this far, but also angry at herself for not going this far sooner.
