An hour had past from her just reading. The snow outside was thinly blanketed over the ground and building. Snow was still continuing to come down. The empath decided that she had enough to read for the day and trekked to the common room. Where she found bags, suitcases and Kori, Jaime, Garfield, Jon and Terra waiting around. "What's all the bags for?" Raven asked. Kori smiled and spoke up, "I'll be at Tamaran for the holiday. Garfield and Terra will be with the Doom Patrol, Jaime is going to El Paso and Jon will be with his father during Thanksgiving." She informed the half demon. Raven nodded to the alien, turned around and walked up the stairs to the snowed roof.
Of course the rest of the team is leaving. I guarantee that Damian will as well. You'll be stuck alone in this tower. Perfect time to die, don't you think?
Trigon would stop at nothing to get Raven out of his way from the chance of opening the portal. She hated that. So much pressure was put on her but she couldn't tell anyone. Surely Damian would leave if he found out. "Baby, why're you up here? It's freezing." The snow crunched under his feet. Raven felt the soft and heavy fabric of the blanket that was being wrapped around her. "Don't you have somewhere to go too? Everyone else is leaving for the holidays." She solemnly asked looking out at the practically shut down city. "No, father is working on some very crucial cases along with a few of my 'brothers'." He kissed her cold face, "So I'm happily stuck here with you." Raven wanted to smile. But her body didn't allow her. She also desperately wanted to cry but yet again, her body wouldn't allow it.
A breeze flew by the two teens that caused them both to shiver. Damian took his girlfriends hand and led her inside. The roof door shut behind them. Snow trailing after them where they walked. The empath started to sneeze. "Aw..baby I think you've caught a cold." Damian cooed her like she was a child. "I'm pretty sure I did." Raven said tiredly.
Her frozen clothes were currently drying in the laundry room. All she had on was leggings, socks and a band T. As she sat on the couch. Damian made his way over to her with a cup of tea. "Dame?" He looked up at her while she took the tea. "Can I wear one of your sweatshirts?" Damian's face turned to a soft smile. After kissing her forehead he walked a ways to his cave and came back only to find Raven staring at the cuts on her arm. "Rachel, don't look at them. You'll want to do it again." He watched as she took the sweatshirt he handed her and slipped it on. "Damian," She began. Damian sat down beside her and pulled her close to him. "Yes princess?" He looked into her eyes longingly. She turned her attention to anything but Damian's face, "I think..I'm.." he held her hand and squeezed it lightly. "I think I'm addicted to hurting myself now.." He stopped squeezing her hand, his grip gone, "Please tell me you're joking." Raven shook her head. His face turned pink because of the newly formed years. "Oh baby, I'm sorry I let this happen to you..I'm such a terrible boyfriend for letting this get so bad." He gently grabbed her sleeve, pulled it up and stared at the scars. His tears fell onto the lines. "Is..there any way I could help you?" He wanted to know so bad.
"You can let me cut..and just..be there for me." Raven told him. He thought about it for a minute. He was willing to do anything to help his Raven. And if that meant letting her mutilate herself....
Then so be it.
