Charles's P.O.V

Li was still sleeping. Apparently, the fall from the tower while bleeding and then hitting the floor, smacked a lot of blood out of her.

I hope she's okay.

I spent most of my days sitting beside her bed, watching her. That may be really creepy to you, but Li keeps making different facial expressions while she's unconscious.

The expressions weren't, like, exaggerated; they were subtle, and hard to notice. That piqued an interest in me. What is she dreaming about?

"She's awake!" Ginger yelled, barging into my room. I was laying on my back, staring at the galaxy painted ceiling, waiting for the sleep that never came. When I heard her yell, I bolted upright and swung my feet over the edge of the bed and got up.

As stupid as I am, not even I can mistake who "She" is.

I ran through the hallways, after Ginger, who was merely a wisp by now, considering the speed she just moved at. I screeched to a stop in front of Li's room, evening my breathing before entering.

Li was sitting up in her bed, looking to the side, out the window. Her eyes connected with mine through the reflection.

"Are you okay?"

Was that me who asked it? No. It was her. What the Hell is wrong with her?

"You're the one who got injured and now you're asking me if I'm okay?" I stared at her, incredulous.

"Yeah, got a problem?" Her head swiveled around to face me. I gulped and shook my head. "Good that." Once again, her attention is out the window.

"By the way, were you dreaming of something when you were in that short coma?" I was curious, okay?!

"No, why?" Li didn't even bother to look at me; she lifted her arm up for Ginger, who was doing a quick check up on her.

"Nothing, really," I looked at the ground. "Since you don't need me, I'll be going now." I trudged out the door but paused in the hallway.

"What?" Li finally spoke.

I whirled around and started whining. "How come you didn't say, "Wait! Come back, I need you," or something like that?!"

"Because this isn't some sort of cliche TV drama show or whatever you Americans like to watch. Now go away. I have enough of your face already." Rude!

"No need to be so mean. I'm human too," I pouted before tromping back to my room.

"We're going on a treasure hunt." Those were the first words to come out of Li's mouth early the next morning. No, not "Good morning", "How are you," or something nice like that. Of course not! Poo.

"What kind of treasure?" I asked suspiciously.

"The...human kind?" Li didn't seem to know how to word her words. Great wording choice right there, I know. Word.

"I'm not sure if I want to go on a trip to hunt humans," I replied warily.

Lianna merely shot me a look.

"And I don't even have a say in this," I sighed. Putting my hands on my knees, I pushed myself up to a standing position. "Did you pack for me?"

"No duh. Let's go," Li turned on her heel and walked away, softly whistling to herself.
