                       Charles's P.O.V.

The next day, I woke up to a feminine voice heavy with a Chinese accent.

"Psycho, are you sure he can handle it?"  The girl was definitely not Li.  However, she sounded concerned.  Who is this he that she is talking about?

"No worries Abigail, I'm sure he'll be fine.  I'll be there too, remember?"  Another girl responded.  Li.

  "Oh okay," Abigail said sheepishly.

"Why are you so concerned about him?"  Li asked.

"Oh, that's because I want to study him to figure out the reason why, and I can't study him if you return him as a bloody splatter on the concrete ya know?"  Abigail replied.

"Righto," Li agreed.  "Oh look, he's awake."  Immediately, my eyes flashed open.

"Um, hi?"  I greeted them awkwardly.  Li grinned.  I noticed that she was already dressed.  Abigail waved at me before leaving.

"Get up ya lug," Li hauled me to my feet.  "Get dressed and meet me in the hallway in five minutes," she ordered.  I nodded and she went outside to wait.  Five minutes later, I went out into the hallway.  "Ready?" She asked.  I nodded. We went down to the lobby and then left the building.  A limo was waiting for us.  I couldn't tell if the driver was the same from yesterday's.  Anyways, he drove us to a private airport and left.  Li led me to an airplane similar to the one that got us here, except it was bigger and roomier.

"Um, what are we doing?"  I asked nervously, chewing on my bottom lip.

"Something, now get on," Li commanded.  I was too scared of her to put up a fight so I obediently climbed into the plane.  "Right, there's a package over there, open it and get ready."  I opened the box and noticed a backpack, a tight jumpsuit and an outer outfit, designed for...I got a sick feeling in my gut.

"Um, we're not going skydiving, right?"  I laughed nervously.

"No," Li replied, not even looking at me.  She was already dressed into her outfit and is now piloting the plane.  I relaxed, however, now thinking back on it, I realized that she was saying no to my question.  If she said yes to my question, it would mean that we're not going skydiving.  But back then I was an idiot so...

I got ready and waited for further instructions.  When we were at a good height for skydiving she straightened the plane and put it on autopilot.  "C'mere boy."  I went over to her near the door.  "You see that?"  Li asked, pointing out the mini window on the door.

"No, I can't see anything," I replied honestly.  She moved from her place and pushed me in front of the door so I can see better.  "Erm, what am I supposed to look for again?"  I started to turn around to look at her, but all of a sudden, the door opened and Li pushed me out!  "Ahhhh!"  I screamed.  Li started laughing as I plummeted through the clouds.  "Help!"  I begged.  I thought back to all the movies I watched and so I turned around so I was on my belly and positioned my body into a straight line, pointing downwards.  I began to go faster and faster.  I remembered something from school about drag and how it'll slow you down.  Right now I'm going too fast for my liking so I spread my limbs to create as much drag as possible.  I was still screaming.  Then something slammed into me.  A second later, a helmet was fitted over my head.  I looked around blindly, panicking.

"Calm down!"  Li shouted near my ear.  I looked at her.  "Follow my lead!"  And then she turned and started plummeting even faster.  I moved to follow her every move.  I wonder if I can trust her.  What if she never planned on keeping me safe but had to do it since she is the leader of a gang that protects people and her plan is to let me fall to my death and then she'll make up an excuse that it's not her fault that I died since she gave me directions and I didn't follow her and then she wouldn't get blamed for my death and her reputation won't even be damaged?!  ...What a stupid idea!  With a jolt, I remembered her conversation with Abigail needed to study someone for something and how she needed him alive...Of course!  That he is me!  I'm such an idiot.  I smiled, relieved that I wouldn't fall to my death, then I remembered.  I'm still falling!  I looked down at Li and then pass her.  We're nearing land!

"Li!"  I shrieked.  She looked up at me and smiled.

"Wait for the right moment!"  She shouted back.  The right moment?!  What if I missed the right moment and went SPLAT??  "Okay!  Now!"  Li yelled.  She yank on a cord on her backpack and a parachute popped out.  I ran my fingers along the backpack, trying to find my damned cord.  I felt the string and yanked.  Nothing happened.  I began to panic again.  I started yanking as hard as I can, but no, it's still stuck!  Finally, the parachute came out.  I sighed a breath of relief than I lowered down into the soil.  Safe at last.  All of a sudden,  I felt something surround my hips.  A belt.  I slowly looked up and looked directly into Li's black eyes.  I gulped and looked around.  We're standing on top of a cliff!  I strained my ears and heard a river rushing below us.  Uh oh.  I looked back at Li, who had chained my belt to a bungee cord.

"Is it alright if I skip this one?"  I asked sweetly.  Li smirked and shook her head.  She pulled me to the edge.  I stumbled back but Li shoved me forward until I was teetering on the edge of the cliff.  I tried to move back but then she pushed me!  As I began to fall again, I realized that the river wasn't a river, it was the ocean.  Great.  I plummeted all the way to the ocean then jerked to a stop, bouncing back up a little then falling.  This continued for a few more moments before I completely stopped, my hair touching the top of the waves.  Then I was yanked back up, fast.  I was feeling dizzy and queasy, my stomach still back on top of the ocean water.

"Having fun?"  Li sneered.  I shook my head and staggered to the side to throw up.  Before I could, Li smacked me.  "Don't you dare," she growled.  "This isn't where you can puke, it's bad enough that humans polluted everything that can be polluted, I will not allow you to destroy what little is left of the natural beauty."  So I found a sickness bag inside my backpack and threw up in there.  I hope I can just relax for the rest of the day.  But then Li sent me to private tutor for schooling and then she dragged me to do more dangerous and reckless stuff that average people wouldn't do.  We went hiking in a desert, we went camping in a dark forest...Yep, that was probably the worst day of my life.  By the time we got back to the compound, I was sore and tired, and it was morning again.  Groaning, I fell face first into my pillow.  I heard Li say something behind me but my senses had shut down.  In seconds, I was fast asleep.
