                 Charlie's P.O.V

Beeps filled the room. I groaned and rolled to the side, hitting the snooze button.

I curled up into a ball, trying to go back to sleep, when all of a sudden, a girl's voice whispered in my ear.

"Charlie...wake up..."

I screamed, rolling off my bed.

My eyes were closed, and I tuck my legs underneath me, rocking back and forth. Whimpering.

"Please don't hurt me!"

"Charlie. I'm not gonna hurt you. I'm supposed to protect you, as disgusting as that is, I have no choice."

"What..." I slowly opened my eyes.

At first, things were blurry, but then I could make out a gorgeous face.

"Li?" I asked in disbelief.

"Good morning Charlie. Now get your ass up. We have plans."

"Um...What kind?" Honestly, I have a bunch of dirty thoughts running through my brain.

I guess Li knew what I'm thinking because she bent over and swatted my head lightly.

"Not that! Ew!" She said, crinkling her nose.

I got up then my alarm clock rang again. It made me jump in alarm. Into Li's arms.

She was surprised but dumped my ass on the floor.

"Come on idiot."

"Um, don't we have school?" I asked, rubbing my butt as I stood up again.

"Don't be stupid. It's SATURDAY!" Li yelled the last word before running out the door and down the stairs.

I quickly took a shower and brushed my teeth. I didn't bother combing my hair. I yanked on a pair of jeans, didn't put on a shirt, threw my towel over my shoulder and tramped down to the kitchen.

Li was leaning against the kitchen counter, eating a pop tart when I came in. My parents were sitting at the table, smiling so brightly that there must be sunlight in their bodies. My mom was talking to Li.

"So, where were my manners? My name is Amber Costa and my husband is Austin Costa."

"Uh...What's going on?..." I interrupted, slowly lowering myself into a chair.

"Wanted to look cool in front of Li don't ya?" My dad teased, ignoring my question.

"Hmph. If he wants to look good he'll need to try harder." Li said, coming over to me. She stood behind me, took my towel, then started rubbing my head vigorously.

"Hey. Watch it!" I complained. I was starting to get scared of her. Last night's events had just started to sink in.

"Don't worry. I'm not gonna take off your head." Li scoffed, throwing my towel down into my lap.

"So uh, are you gonna explain why my parents let you in and why you're here?" I asked nervously.

"Well, such a pretty girl showed up and said you needed protection AND she's Psycho, who wouldn't let her in?" My mom said, laughing.

"Let's go to the backyard. I need air. And then I'll explain." Li told me.

I got up and followed her outside.

She grabbed a couple of lawn chairs and sat down in one of them.

"Okay then. Let's talk." I said.
