"Can't find a mirror to see what I see in you,

     - Before You Exit, I Like It That

"This is absolutely ridiculous." I argued as the black guitar hung from my neck. I watched as Anna leant down and hit a button, her voice beginning to speak through the speakers.

"Famous, Lucas. You'll love it!" she cheered. "Plus we only have two days to do this, so start strumming and sing something." she let go of the button and sat her butt down on the chair. Leaning her head upon her palm she waited for me to begin to play.

       "I can't do th--"

"Sing." she demanded, holding the mic close to her.

"Oh my god." I muttered to myself and began to strum. Placing my fingers on different strings, an ancient sound began to play.

You see, I stopped playing guitar and singing at fifteen. I had nowhere going with it and I felt like it was stupid to do. So, when I strummed guitar for the first time in two years, it was heartaching. Only because I had missed it so much and I felt ashamed of myself to give up on a dream, but it didn't matter now, I had bigger worries.

"Do you know any songs?" Anna sighed into the mic, bored with my actions.

"I haven't played in a couple of years, so give me a break." I rolled my eyes. "I don't even wanna be here right now."

"That's too bad." she smirked. "Now sing."

I flared my nostrils, pissed that she was forcing me to do this. To be honest, I didn't wanna be doing this. But no, Anna is a determined person when it comes to certain things and sadly I was one of them.

Placing the pads of my fingers on the strings, I moved the guitar pick to hit the right strings. After making sure I knew what I was doing, I began to sing Give Me Love by Ed Sheeran. I was starting to get into it, too into it.

By the time I finished, Anna's eyes were bulged out of her head and her eyebrows were cocked up. "Can't wait for you to become famous, damn." she over exaggerated. I tossed my hands in the air as she smiled up at me.

"I don't even know if those were all the right chords."

"Doesn't matter. It sounded amazing." she began to play with the computer, until her eyes sneaked a look at me. Anna walked her way slowly back to the mic and hit the button, a suspicious smirk on her lips. "Can you sing that again?"

I buttoned up the red flannel I currently had on. Black skinny jeans and my torn up converse went with anything now a days, especially my favorite plaids.

I threw on the dog tags over my neck and fixed my hair before looking at the time. 7:30 pm. I licked my lips and bit at my lip ring as the nerves began to fill up. Yeah, I was nervous to pick up a girl from her house because.. well I really didn't have an answer. And it scared me.

I hoped into the car that Hunter let me borrow and started it up. Driving down to her house, I parked at the curb so her father wouldn't kill me, well if he was even there.

I walked over to the side of the house and climbed up the rose vines. Skipping to her window, I tapped on it with my finger. A big grin slowly rose on her lips before it was ear to ear. I chuckled as she opened the window.

"So, you're gonna wear skinny jeans tonight?" I asked, not surprised at all.

"I hate fucking dresses." she said, ending with me laughing. I took her hand as she crawled her way out of the window. She went up on her tippy toes and left a kiss on my cheek. A giggle leaving her lips as she went back down.

"What?" I asked, smiling down at her.

"You have my lipstick stain on your face." she giggled some more as I made an 'ew' face as if I was five, wiping it away with my sleeve. "I like this on you. You should wear plaid more often!"

"Thanks, I stole it." I smiled at her and her face went dazed. I began to chuckle as her face got more serious. "I'm joking." I rolled my eyes as I walked to the side of the house and climbed down.

"Jump." I shouted towards her opening my hands.

"Are you crazy!" she shouted back to me. "No."

"Oh c'mon babe." I whined. "It'll be fun."

"No." she demanded, beginning to climb down the side. I waited for her to get in arms reach and when she did, I snatched at her hips. She screamed and laughed as I tickled her with one hand and spun her around.

"Lucas." she glared as I set her down. I smiled at her and began to walk behind her. I lifted up my leg and kicked her in the butt, Anna only reached down and marked off the foot print I left. So I did it again, and again. "Lucas!" she shouted, throwing her hands to her side. "Butt off."

"No pun intended." I snickered as we walked to the car.

"Hahaha." she laughed. "Aren't you on fire tonight!"

"Matty!" Anna shouted as she ran towards Matilda, wrapping her arms around her.

"Anna!" Matilda shouted back following Anna's actions.

"Where's Ben?" she asked, looking around the huge crowd.

"He went to get drinks." she shouted. "But --" she began to whisper in Anna's ear. I rolled my eyes to the side and shouted towards them.

"Hey, I'm gonna go to the bathroom real quick." Anna nodded and let go of my hand as I walked away. Walking down the halls, I turned and went towards the bathrooms. That's when the click of heels echoed around the corner in front of me and blonde locks smiled at me as she stopped.

"Well, how nice to see you here."

"What the fuck do you want, Hannah?"

"I saw you're here with Anna."

         "Go away."

"How cute." she sarcastically implied as she popped her lips. "Too bad it isn't us."

         "Nope. You're not good enough."

         "For trash?"

         "Hannah, you make no sense."

"Well then let's stop talking," she walked closer to me as I cocked my eyebrow. "and just get straight to what we both want."

"How about you fuck off, Hannah." Anna's voice shouted from down the hall. I smiled as she walked with attitude and Hannah backed away from me.

"Oh look, the friendly duo is together."

"Too bad you aren't part of it."

          "Wouldn't want to be."

"All you are is a booty call, Hannah. And if you were placed under anything else it would be trash." Anna stepped closer to Hannah. "The next time I see you around him, well let's just say I hope you have enough make up to cover up the black eye that'll be imprinted into your skin."

          "Oh I'm so scared."

"You should be." Anna hissed before grabbing a hold of my hand and walking off.

         "I still have to piss."

"Shut up." she coughed, pressing her nails into my skin. "Just shush."
